Good deal. Hope you have better luck with whatever you choose to replace it.

Because Toyota bought your truck back doesn't mean it wasn't a user issue. If they couldn't replicate the problem it's sometimes more costly effective just to take the truck back.

It was definitely a user issue. My problem went away as soon as I started paying more attention to how I open the door. You're probably right that it was cheaper for Toyota to just buy it back than fight his lemon law claims.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
My brother had a Toyota Tercel (89?) and he left it by my house as he traveled out of state for work for months at a time. I drove it occasionally and maintained it to keep it running. One time I went out of town on a business trip and came back to the airport parking lot at 1 am, the windows were iced over. I started the car and jumped out to scrape the windows. You figured it…. The door locked on me as I was getting out….. called AAA (I have their travel insurance). And an hour later I got in and drove home. The car was toasty. Anyways I always leave the window open if I get out of a car/truck and leave it running..

Even when it's pouring rain or snowing?

If it’s raining or snowing I’ll leave it the window open enough to get my hand/arm in. I’ve been known to not shut the door all the way. I do not have to do it often. Toyota is pretty good with water per Top Gear . Don’t take your cybertruck to the car wash tho, unless you run a special car wash mode.
