I finally installed the morimoto 4bangers that came with my morimoto headlights I purchased 18 months ago. Also installed a pair of matching 4banger ditch lights. My FJ will get an upgrade of diode dynamics ss3 ditch lights now from the Tundra and I will be listing oem TRD Pro oem rigid fogs for sale. I will get pics tomorrow or the weekend.

When I tested the lights, only the fogs worked. For some reason the ditch lights did not work. These were probably part of the first batch of 4bangers produced and I’m wondering if maybe I blew a fuse or the wiring is switched up between both companies. The fun continues tomorrow…

It's nice we can customize either way...as I got a used Tundra a few months back and restored to chrome from the blacked out emblems. I'm Gen X and I guess "old school"...because I like the chrome against my Magnetic Gray Metallic finish.

Anyone purchase from offer up? How do they have the shipping cost so low??? Is it a scam? Wanting to order a large item and shipping says under $4. How is that possible?

a lot of tech type things are highly subsidized and lose billions a year for decades sometimes. It's about getting you hooked, then I bet your shipping costs jump after the first couple times.

Who is they? Isn't OfferUp a C2C business like Craigslist and FB Marketplace?

LOL Apparently you don't know what OfferUp is either.

IMG_6132.jpg IMG_6131.jpg Put an Access Vaniah roll up tonneau cover on today. Now I can roll it up to use more bed space. The tri-fold wouldn’t work because of the bed rack.

I was going to purchase a skid plate and shipping was $3.49. They send the buyer a shipping label. For sidesteps it was $15.99. From what I’ve heard they have deals with shipping companies. I’ve also heard your cost of shipping goes up after you make a few purchases. They do take a cut as a processing fee.

Finally installed the rest of my bed tie down loops and got the spare strapped in and secured.

Also installed the DIY unistrut bed “deck” rails last week and finished getting those tie downs installed this afternoon too. Didn’t like how the mounts for the tonneau went from 3 a side for the bed rail clamps to 2 a side for the factory deck rail clamps. Actually had my tonneau fly off on the highway because i couldn’t get them tight enough . I rigged a few of the clamps to work in the deck rail for four clamps total and it is much more secure now.

    Got my wash/shower pump installed...
    20240424_133433.jpg
Demand/pressure sensitive. Shower or hose nozzle turned off? Pump shuts off.
    20240424_133458.jpg
20240424_133517.jpg Hose hook is attached with magnets. Shower/privacy awning has a back zippered opening to the hook.

Also placed/positioned my Wavian potable water can. I'm disappointed. With the spigot installed where the plug shows in the pics., the can cannot be removed, nor put back into, the front loading holder. So much for the idea of driving to destination, taking it down, installing the spigot, and then putting it back up; I'll have to leave the spigot installed while driving, filling it in place before we hit the overland. And, the holder locking latch has rivets that cut into the top of the water can. Bad cut. I'll be drilling those out and installing new rivets. And another thing with the spigot, this reviewer says it better than I could: https://gearjunkie.com/motors/overland-water-storage Wish I'd have know about these issue before I :spending:

    Brand new cabin air filter!
Got this spare chrome grille from a part out that I've got lying around. Pulled the honeycomb insert out and using it just to experiment on and hopefully eventually find a Pro insert for it(I'm goin the low budget method). Got around to painting it today and the color is coming out pretty good I must say. Haven't held it up to my truck for comparison but I'm liking how it's coming out.

Maybe I'll eventually sell this locally. Part out came with the TSS sensor

Not sure I would call the 3rd gen a Tundra. It’s kind of in insult to the name in my opinion.
