My prediction was bunk. I really thought Florida was playing good hockey and was getting good goaltending.
Aiden Hill is playing lights out and Vegas is the more physical team with better offensive talent.
I have flip flopped and dove clear off the Florida bus. Lucky I didn’t bet money.

 

As a Kings fan, going to be stoked for QUICK, AMART (getting 3rd) and MCNABB (getting 2nd) and AMADIO (getting his first) !

...but like was mentioned, not counting the chickens just yet as Boston was up 3-1 too !! (only difference is Boston lost already on home ice)

 

Vegas isn't so bad. Back in the day used to go to the yearly frozen fury at the MGM Grand. Made for an awesome road trip !

Got to stick with your team though no doubt .. Go Kings Go ! Always noticed Vegas has a huge Kings fan base.

Everyone said/thought it would be a great matchup and series. I thought it would be too and I was pulling for FLA.
Turns out, they don't matchup well at all.
FLA never had a chance. I don't really like Vegas for all the reasons already mentioned, but a lot of credit still has to be given for how well they're being coached and how well they're playing. You can go out and buy a team, or a few star players, but you still have to play as a team and execute. I've watched many teams try buying their way to a cup over the years and fall short. Doesn't guarantee anything.
Vegas will get their cup this year and their players and coaches earned it and deserve it. But they spent everything they had to get it. They won't be back for a while.

Florida is just outright playing terrible. They're making it way too easy.

Says club access but you have to pay for whatever you get there & it is a crappy colege arena, their food is crap!

That is more than 50% more than at the old (REAL) 18k seat arena for worse seats.

Unless I find something reasonable, I'll not be going AGAIN.

From 2007 to (minus covid bubble/stuff) to 2021 (or so) we went every year, total cost was about 400, this is insane, they are trying to make up for the lesser capacity, NO!

 

Anyone else read the article about Adam Johnson? Young kid gets a skate across the neck they treat him there and he dies at hospital. A tragic accident that is under investigation now. The good die young!, what a shame. It looked like a FREAK accident one of those wrong place wrong time deal. This was a terrible accident and many teams are honoring him before games now!

when I first started skating before playing I had to take my little brother skating. Hated doing that! First time out he takes a skate across the wrist!, thought he was going to bleed out but they treated him and he was back out there falling down in no time flat!

There seem to be a lot of people suspicious that his leg would have bounced up like that in a collision...

 

Very definitively obvious that he threw his leg up to try and impede the progress of AJ. We'll never know intent to kill or not unless the guy just flat out admits it. An investigation should lead to a manslaughter charge. Armchair/Monday morning QB, but I wonder if they left him on the ice and controlled the hemorrhaging instead of him skating off if he'd still be around.

They needed to clamp that off but there was no one around that had a set of stats on the ice nor did anyone know how bad it was until it was too late. After watching the video over and over and over again I do believe the leg was lifted intentionally and this resulted in a tragic tragic accident. Adam Johnson was probably dead before he was put into the ambulance. It only takes seconds for a deep cut like that to bleed out.

it does not help with peoples thinking that Mat Petgrave was a an aggressive, liked to fight, and a cheap shot player.


It’s a shame and now they will make it mandatory to wear the shirt with protective neck piece or just a protective neck piece from now on. I forget who it was but another player not to long ago survived a wound similar to what happened and I believe he wears protection now. I am surprised the NHL hasn’t already changed policy!

 

Boston and Vegas are both starting off strong this year .

 

I don't know anything about MP, but those are the adjectives floating around. I have only seen the replay of the incident and not the entire game, but I read somewhere that Johnson & Petgrave squared up early in the 1st period. No idea if it's true or not. But like you say, with all of the descriptors about him, and if there was a little donnybrook beforehand it won't bode well for MP's case.

 

Love seeing JQ (Who earned the back-up role in LA, after years of service and 2-cups, but Blake is an idiot) still doing good and a big FY to Blake, as last years playoff race proved and JQ ended up with his name on 3rd cup. He will always be a true LA KING in my book and did what Kelly Hrudey couldn't.

 

John Tavares scored his 1000th goal!! This is a huge feat!! YAY for him!!!
