So here we are. I figured I’d start this and add as more parts have shown up and it’s almost time for install/fab on the tundy. I know I should have started this when I first joined cause I’ve definitely forgotten some of the things I’ve done. But fux it

started with all your normal shenanigans:
    •UBJ
    •LBJ
    •steering rack bushing (suspensions dudes)
•aisin timing belt and water pump kit
    •flushed and replaced all fluids
(except tranny. I know you assholes)
    •front bumper chop

this pic is to show how well SuperLube holds up in wet. We had about 3 days of solid rain after I installed these and I’m a distribution driver so I was all over the roads and the lube held up amazingly well in some of the wettest conditions I could of put them through.
    IMG_4250.jpg

went ahead and picked up NiLight fogs and found me a old Chevy grill guard that I’ll be using to fab up my pre-runner bumper.

The stack of parts is getting nice. I’ll probably get to work on the bumper this weekend while I order up some extended sway bar links and decide on what I’m gonna do on the rear.
Maybe buy @shifty` s AAL or just “buy once; cry once” some HD leafs. We’ll see

Paint on chrome. Probably gonna get chippy fast. Plans for different finish in the future?

    Wheels came in
    IMG_4465.jpg
    285/75/17's mounted and ready
    IMG_4466.jpg

all in all the install went smooth as silk. Thanks to @memario1214 @ HotShot Off-road for the 5100's/2885's. KSP UCA went in smooth. Used red n tacky for the bushings and new ball joint.

    Annndd how she sits currently.
    IMG_4478.jpg IMG_4479.jpg

Has just the right amount of poke
    IMG_4481.jpg
    Set up is a 17x9 -12mm ANNNDD a 1" spacer. tires are 285/75r17
Pinch weld was the only thing I rubbed, but I believe that's due to my lack of a front bumper

    and for all the haters

    best $140 I spent lol

edit: I will also add @Tundra2 i think it has more to do with quality of wire than the welder itself. I chose the flux125 since I can control wire speed and power in increments as opposed to the Chicago which is just max or low. I use Lincoln wire in all my projects and it lays a solid bead with minimal spatter beads. I'm sure there's other great fluxcore wires out there but Lincoln is readily available, although expensive

Here are some before/afters. I should have put the stockers back on to see how much lift. With 5100's/2885's on a DC 2WD for y'all nerds. But I was impatient.

it's definitely at a point where it's settled so I'll take more measurements today. Or my eyes are just used to the heights already.
