Hi my name is John and I just purchased my first Tundra 2016 SR5 with only 55,000 miles so far so good. I’m very excited about being part of the Toyota family. The truck I had before is a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 in fact I still have it. The reason I went for a Tundra instead of a newer Chevy from my research the Tundra are much more reliable. The only problem I’m enjoying the Tundra but I saw a 2017 Tundra Limited available in Gray. I’m tempted to maybe trade my 2016 for the 2017 mileage is about the same the 2017 might cost me 8 to 10,000 more. Would that be a mistake?

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I don't see any reason to replace the 16 with the 17 unless there are specific features you would like to get. Then it is up to you whether it is worth it.

The 2016 is SR5 the 2017 is the Limited I like the Gray color and it’s Crewmax. I wish they were both available at the same time I would have chosen the 2017. Buying a used Tundra would you recommend getting the extended warranty?

I'm not sure an extended warranty is still available for a 7 year old truck, at least without some kind of gimmick.
