These old dawgs coming out of retirement for repairs to the new ones.
The rear end of the truck is in the sun every day. They must have just cooked inside the lens. I’ve had an experience before with the headlights as the passenger side is in the sun every day, and it also peeled like this. All prep has been done correctly, I’m moving in a different direction, redoing these tails sucks.

 

Well shit.... they looked awesome while you had them. Intrigued what you do. As always it is fun to watch you work

 

Thanks bud! I do like these projects but I would like to just seal them up and leave them that way! I have moisture in a headlight too. No matter how hard I try to be perfect, ain’t happening!

 

Sounds like perfect justification for a 6 bay shop with a paint booth.

Yeah I get that. But you really can’t beat OEM visibility at night either. So I’m somewhat conflicted. We’ll see what happens

Trust me, they’re on my radar, but they’re 700 lb springs. They’re staying for now. They may bug for a while. But maybe I can do something with the rear.

 

Every guy thinks this at least once....

 

Since the taillights didn’t work out, the sliders needing resprayed Raptor liner black, and I’m removing most of the blue inside the headlights, the red springs shouldn’t be so crazy. I know I may have to do something about the UCAs. I’ll have to wait till they’re on the truck. The way work is right now and scheduling the install, that’s the way it’s going to work out.

 

What will you need to do with the UCAs? You best not be thinking about painting them something besides you BRM.....

 

I gotta see how they look with everything. Those red springs are gonna be frickin bright. I had to jump on this sale. It was a killer deal.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed getting caught back up on your work. Nicely done! That headliner turned out mint too! I did it back in an old ride, but have decided not to tackle it again.

Scored these for $20 from a dude that didn’t want them. Gonna change out the floods for spots to get more distance.
