    Hello everyone,

Just purchased this 2001 Tundra Limited V8 4WD. 134k miles. Runs great. However needs some cosmetic fixes. Any advice on where to get OEM parts (Driver seat, driver door panel, chrome bumper, etc). Thanks in advance!

Salvage yard. Typically they’re all networked so they can send you pics. The chrome bumper is available on Amazon as an aftermarket part. Some have bought it and were happy. The seat could be reupholstered or bought used if it can be found.

Looks like it was a rust belt truck. Pore over every inch of the frame before you sink a single dollar into it. These trucks are notorious for rotted frames. If you see any evidence it's been treated, painted, coated, you need to be extra alert.

    For salvage yard finds, www.car-part.com

If you didn't already check, make sure the truck at least shifts into 4HI with a solid LED.

PS - I wouldn’t chrome up that truck! Part of the appeal of the Limited package is everything being paint matched. A lot of the guys with chrome go out of their way to remove it, “chrome delete” happens a lot around here.

I say this as a fellow Limited owner who thought chrome would look cool in the rear and be easier to get when someone tagged my OEM bumper in a parking lot. I’ll probably just end up buying a paint matched replacement soon…

I have a source for paint matched I found recently if you come up short. Ping me.

@shifty` Good advice! I didn't realize the Limited had everything paint matched. Obviously an amateur here... appreciate all your help!

If we were within an easy day's drive I'd buy those bumpers! I'm a little less in the 'chrome delete' camp, a bit more toward the 'add some black to tone down all the white' camp. Though I definitely don't love a ton of chrome.

It definitely jumped out at me, that it could be the TRD exhaust upgrade. But when I saw the Volant intake, I was, like, "Hmmm... maybe someone was trying to milk a rock here, and it's aftermarket Borla or something..."

Where are you located? I'm sure you could make someone very happy with those black bumpers when you go chrome. They appear.to be in great shape

I might swap chrome for black. Although the asphalt parking lot and road leads me to believe its not Texas
