    pads won't cause pulsation that's a rotor issue not sure if there is a better option yet than OEM but I've had good luck with Powerstop.

    not always the case. Rotor could be fine but could have uneven pad material on the rotor

    Just a follow up post....went with napa UP 882853CR rotors and power stop 17-2439 pads from rockauto

    how are the quality of the rotors? are they any heavier than the OEM ones?

    Napa rotors on right. 20mm thick. Stock rotors are 19.83 inside the wear lip. Lip is 20mm thick

    Napa rotors vents are 9.20mm X 8.43mm. Stocks are 8.99 X 8.23mm

    Couldn't get the ebrake to retract via the 3 up and 3 down and hold sequence. Instead, I fed 12v to the ebrake motors. You'll need a very thin 17mm or needle nose vice grips to hold the slide pins while removing the caliper bolts. Very straightforward job other than the ebrake.

    I tried that 3/3 after seeing it on Car Care Nut with no luck either. Theres got to be a trick somewhere. Maybe a plug in retractor tool with a battery in it.

    Yep, tried it a few different ways and I could get the dang BRAKE to flash real quick but never heard the motors retract. Wired up one of my M12 batteries and retracted them that way. I agree with you though, there's got to be something we're missing

    There’s no special trick for the electronic integrated parking brake on the 3rd gen. It’s just like a regular mechanical integrated parking brake.

    Just got to turn the piston in with a brake caliper compressor tool. They like $25 from Amazon.

    Did try that and it did spin but it kept twisting the seal. Didn't know that was the actual procedure. Thanks!

    I’ve never waited this long for 3rd party shop manuals before on any vehicle. The level of tech on this truck, on all vehicles really, must have really caused a huge backlog for the editors of these.

    Thx. I’ll check that one out. All I found was a digital version from FM. $100 download. I’m highly skeptical though. Their vehicle brand list isn’t alphabetized correctly, all reviews are 5 stars including the ones that are 100% complaints. Very sketch. Asked them to send examples of the 3rd Gen Tundra book. We'll see
