Edit: just realized it's just to disable the ebrake

 

Which bolts gave you grief? Caliper bracket bolts are easy, the caliper pin bolts are tough if you don't have means of holding the sliding pin from spinning

The bolts were all easy to take off. Idk how to make the caliper piston retract. Some have mentioned to leave the truck in neutral, which I prefer not to do especially when truck is jacked up. How does one retract the caliper piston correctly?

 

Turn off the auto ebrake, open up the brake fluid reservoir, apply 12v to the ebrake plug to retract the internals, then use a caliper spreader to push the piston in. You can also turn the piston clockwise and that will also drive it in. I didn't go this route as the seal was twisting. I applied 12v and pushed it in little by little.
