They did not change out the valve stems when they put the new tires on.
spare tire has been my nightmare scenario. She’s 25 years old. Been cruising the marketplace for a used 285/75/16 and haven’t scooped one up yet. Let’s see if it gets me home. It’s only 25 miles :eek2:

Yeah, I re-mounted the gold Methods back on the truck today so I can separate off the Wildpeaks. Only to find "I was right". I told the youngest my rear driver tire looked low, but it was weird, there was no TPMS warning being reported.

Sure enough, there's a friggin nail in the tire and it only had 20lb of air in it. Also explains why bumps were nicer these last few drives. But now I've gotta patch that tire before I sell it, which isn't a problem since I can patch from inside, but still sucks b/c that was one of the newer pair.

Pics to come of the truck with gold wheels and brushed stainless mouthpiece, maybe tomorrow.

And now I get the added task of trying to figure out why clearing out the TPMS codes for two of my sensors now has the truck failing to report when my tire pressures are low. Which is good news for someone who is tired of seeing the warnings, but bad news if you want to know when your tires are low!

Thanks for reminding me I needed to check my front passenger tire pressure. It was 40psi when I left Merus and 15psi last week. Filled it to 45psi a week ago, today it was 25psi. Just topped it off again. Will take it to discount tire in the morning for a free patch. I took a decent chunk out of it on a rock in the canyon. I bet that's where the slow leak is.

So you're selling the new wheels and tires already? That didn't last long.

We shoulda loaded it up for the MERUS weekend. Would have saved you guys a lot of cooler space.

The bed was about 2/3 full with 2" of rain on the way the next 72 hours. Decided to not put that stress on my fresh suspension.

It wasn't cold enough. My 2 bags of 7lb ice berely lasted in the coolers. Would be more better for hanging out with the boys in the garage than camping.

    Truck is pissin' bro

Nah. I pulled the Rocktrix so I could get the 285s separated at a cheaper local shop for re-mounting later. I'll list the tires, and pull the TPMS sensors from the Rocktrix, clean the bullshit wheel-weight-massacre Discount Tire applied to the Rocktrix wheels (they'll rip 'em off anyway, at least I can clean the mess before they apply more), then carry the truck and wheels up to Discount Tire and have them re-mount the Mickey 275s and the Denso TPMS sensors into the Rocktrix. Then I'll clean up the Methods and probably sell those to someone locally. And I need to sell the 285s and a set of Acura allow 6-spokes I've got sitting out back with Bridgestones on 'em. Hopefully I can net ~$1,300 - 1,500 for all of it. I could use the extra $$$ padding.

I feel ya. The 8 months I was unemployed was rough. Luckily I didn't have to sell stuff because finally I got hired right before I ran out of money. I sold a bunch of stuff I didn't want to sell on a previous unemployed bout. Had to sell my TRD supercharger I was going to put on my Tacoma. That hurt.
