All good info to digest as I tinker with what's best. Thanks again for the feedback.

Worked on the front brakes as I thought I may have had a sticking caliper, the squealing I believe was the Z36 pads being slightly too tall and a shelf of pad material was formed as the pads were wearing down hovering over the rotor. Filed them down, never been impressed with the Z36 kit.

Also, found 2 valve cover bolts completely loose from when I had a shop take care of the leaking spark plug gaskets. Tightened them up, funny thing is the other side of the motor is seeping from the vc's.

Have had a front end noise(hard stops on a decline/certain turning angles causing the noise)recently as well and everything looked/felt tight. Only the sway bar links had a bit of rubber deterioration.

Any ideas? Was going to do the inner tie rods, but they seemed tight, no movement.

To complement the USB ports I added to the bed, I got a hook & loop pouch to store USB cables.

To be clear, this is a tactical hook & loop storage, NOT a Velcro fanny pack.

Picked up a well used but 100% functional Decked crossover tool box recently. Looks good on the truck. Lost some bed space but will help clear out my backseat and hopefully make things simpler.

    (LOL over here)

I was baffled with the insanity of it all when rebuilding the leaf springs and U/L Arms on my 1970 Nova with Poly bushings.
Everything had to be torched and air-hammered -- practically whittled out -- and pressing the new stuff in was nearly as troublesome.
Then there's the trouble of compressing the springs to reinstall them while pressing balls on spindles at the same time...
Only to realize later my fancy new QA1 adjustable shocks will not go through the hole in the lower arm :angrygirl: !

    It wasn't exactly today...
In August, I hitched-up, fueled-up, drove to the beach, dumped the dory, motored out to a very secret spot, caught #7 Albacore tuna, and Ate-Up!
(First and only time I've dipped the Tundra in saltwater. Can't decide if that's good or bad.)

Bought a nice quality Fel-Pro 12 hole transmission pan gasket.
The one that came with the strainer from Glamazon is a paper thin rubber unit that looks like heat can deteriorate break up and fall in the pan causing catastrophic transmission damage or Kaboom-Ski. The Japanese made
Fel-Pro I doubt it feels as good as a OEM Toyota unit.... Feels of very good quality very sturdy with metal insert in the eyelets not sure* but it feels metal impregnated. Idk feels every bit worth 32$
While the OEM was a bargain at 96.99$ before tax. Nothing against OEM parts but O'Reilly is literally across the Rd from my house. The dealer is 19 miles.
Now when I replaced the starter oooh boy you bet I payed up for the OEM unit.
    I got a great price on it I think I gave 239$ otd....down from 360$ I believe?
My coworkers brother works the parts Dpt at the Porsche dealership Wich is inside the big Toyota Land lot and they buy parts from each other all day so he gave me the contact info and I just showed up to pick up. It was actually 11$ less than the Oreily house brand haaaaaa. I got lucky.
Either way I still would have bought the Toyota starter. As hard as it is to access plus the OEM from the truck made it
237k miles can't complain about that VS off brands with "one year warranty" that go out exactly a 13 months later...

I had to search for longer than I would like to admit to find this post. My wife has started using that glovebox as "her" area when driving, so I just ordered a USB plug, the lights, and the switch to do this mod myself.

Thanks for the effort! In my Tundra, this box houses a TPMS system defeat button and my winch controller with USB cord. Such organization would complete the form/function.

I installed the factory rail system and a black steering wheel overlay a few days ago, and I just now got around to posting about them.

Just ordered the Morimoto LED fog lights using Headlight Revolution's Black Friday sale. They will match perfectly with the Morimoto headlights I installed this time last year. Pretty psyched for the lighting upgrade!

Right on. The MeSo is pretty slick because you can change the colors between red and white. Bummer yours doesn't support it. I also didn't know that the RC trucks were that different when it came to center console lights/dome lights.

Pulled the trigger on installing larger tires after trying to hold off until "absolutely necessary." I went with Toyo Open Country RT Trail in 285/75/18. Going camping in Sedona this week, so will see how they perform on Soldiers Pass, Broken Arrow, etc. Previously I had Kenda Klever RTs in 275/65/18 for ~3 years and they got badly cupped and worn (by infrequent rotation or punishing offroading or both).

I think it actually might depend on trim level and not cab size, I could be totally wrong but

That was actually the reason I just went with new bulbs. They make the front map lights for mine, but not the rear dome.

I have been wanting to get some MeSo lights in mine but after seeing yours I think I might save $100 and just get the lights you linked. I don't think I'll mind if they are red full time. I almost always have the lights turned in the off position anyway because I don't like the bright light when entering my truck at night or early mornings.

    Some.
Pulled the radiator, shroud, fan, belt, tensioner and idler pulleys off. Found the fan mount needs to be replaced, so I ordered that.
That was all my back could take, so I am done for the day. I'll install the new fan mount, idler/tensioner pulleys, water pump, thermostat, and alternator between wednesday and next week when the fan mount gets delivered.
I washed the radiator fins out, and holy crap it was packed with dust.
    20241126_085712.jpg

Edit: decided to go ahead and replace the power steering pump while I am there, so got that ordered from Olathe Toyota.

Did a tune up and replaced two coil packs, removed my CAI, removed SDHQ wiper reservoir and put my oem airbox and washer reservoir back in; replaced rear brake caliper and added cruise control; now I just need to drop the trans pan one more time to replace the gasket and eventually get to finishing my bedrack rebuild for like the 5th time

yeah I know no pics; I can get pics of the plugs if I'm not mistaken theyre original from factory with 260k on the clock and dont look terrible
