TRD Sway Bar 2023 1794

Just ordered sway bar and links from my local dealer, should be here tomorrow

 

Everything installed and torqued. Seems rude and stir better, feels like firmer steering, but that could be in my head too. Only thing I noticed was the end links that came with the TRD OR Kit seems to be beefier than the ones that you need to have for the sway bar.

 

Hi guys, can I get some clarity here for my 1794? Are you guys adding a sway bar because the truck doesn't come with one or are you adding a better quality stiffer heavier bar to improve performance?

 

Can you post a pic of the bar installed and the end links?

First drive impressions:

deff feels firmer in the front. Deff a bit harsher and bumps seem to be noticeable even the small ones

 

Is the TRD Pro front sway bar the exact same shape as stock black one? Current tire is rubbing on oem TRD OR swaybar. It’s been dropped with icon swaybar relocation.

Was swapping it worth it? Also can you take a picture from the front of your truck? Thinking about doing this as well as the red axels.

 

To me it is more stable especially in the corners. I believe it's worth it. I will get you some pictures, maybe tomorrow

 

For those of you that upgraded from the stock sway bar.. did you reuse all the hardware (nuts and bolts) or did you order the following two components? Trying to figure out if these are needed for a stock height truck or not. TIA!!

Thanks Ryan. My TRD sway bar was delivered and I was kind of amazed at how they shipped it. scratched up a bit.. might need to paint match it lol

 

I have the tier 3-in lift and with the sway bar relocation brackets my 35s on 18s rubbed the sway bar we had to remove the brackets and put the sway bar in stock orientation but when I drive now it has a lot more body roll. It doesn't handle the way I'd like it too so it's a big disappointment. Icon makes a spacer that's a little bit thinner than the 3-in TRD relocation bracket so I might try that to see if it works but I have no idea if it's going to work with the TRD skid plate. I don't want the sway bar sitting outside of the skid plate I feel like that defeats the whole purpose. You could run a zero offset on the wheels to make it not rub for my understanding but when I asked Toyota what offset to do they told me plus 18 so I got method 305s and plus 18 and it doesn't clear. I was curious if the TRD sway bar is different from the OEM black one in the sense that it would clear my tires with the relocation bracket. I hear people are running the TRD skid plate and not using the bracket and still going with a 3-in lift but that seems stupid since it's sloppy on the highway.

If anybody has any advice please share!

This is what I bought for my TRD swaybar upgrade. no lift either. You are going to reuse the mounting nuts and bolts that are already on the truck too.

I have read these and I apologize but I'm a bit confused..
I have a 2024 platinum 4x4 with the trd off road package and the 3 inch lift. Does mine not have an upgraded front sway bar as well?
I'd like the trd rear and front sway bar but I'd like to know which specific parts I need to order. I was wanting the trd skid plate too but unless there's a bracket kit that fully works with my truck will have to wait on it(unless someone's nice enough go tell me where I can buy pre-made spacers. I noticed the Amazon link kit isn't for my year vehicle).
Could I get a parts number list of which items I'd need for the install of the following..
-Front sway bar(unless the one I have on it is already the heavy duty trd one)
-rear sway bar
-trd skid plate
Keep in mind that I do have the trd off road package as well as the trd 3" lift from the factory.
I appreciate it if you're able to do that.

 

Going off memory here from my 23 I had, that I put the TRD lift on and put TRD sway bar on.
You do not have the front TRD Sway bar, it will be red, you will need it, look under your truck, where the sway bar mounts to the frame, there should be 2 drop blocks (spacers) between the sway bar and where it mounts. You will need them if you don’t have them already, you will need to bushings and mount bolts for where it bolts near the lower control arm, bolts are the OEM without TRD lift and bushings, I can see if I still have the part numbers.
The rear sway bars are the same.
Skid plate, that U don’t know, I have the stell plate from Talons garage. They have front specifically for 3” lift.

 

Anyone else able to chime in on my question? I wanted to order and do the install myself because my local dealership really let me down on my foglight and grille install

 

Anybody got the torque specs for the front sway bar bracket?

 

55 ft.-lb. for 11/2021 through 04/2024
61 ft.-lb. for 05/2024 onward
