I can’t believe how long I’ve waited with mine! Just realized that I bought my Gunmetal Ray 10s nearly 9 months ago and still haven’t put them on my truck! lol.
You’re gonna love them. Very nice looking wheels.

I’m a cheap bastard and won’t throw out my current tires till they’re closer to toast.

When I purchased, it seemed that SCS availability had been a little unstable. They were in stock, so I bought them. Shortly after, I spotted the Falkens I wanted on Amazon for about $55 under MSRP per tire so I bought them. I just picked up new TPMS sensors a couple weeks ago and we mounted the tires up and balanced them.

My wife has been driving the truck lately since shoulder surgery, as her car is a 6-speed. I’ll mount up the new ones when I get my truck back since the new tires and wheels are in my buddy’s shop.

I’m still feeling a little guilty since my current tires have about 30% tread left…

I was going to wait for my stock tires to wear out as well. But for some reason I enjoy spending money. I’ll have my stock rims and tires for sale. Hopefully they’ll sell quick locally

Yeah, my OEM tires only lasted about 17K miles before they went bye bye. Current set is 275/65-20 Coopers on some 20” XD Outbreaks. Really like the wheels, but no more 20s for me…. Hoping to sell them quickly with some 25% tread Coopers and OEM TPMS installed!

Is that the factory lift? If so what size tires did you go with?

Unsure if it's been discussed. What size deep socket is needed for the lock to take the lug nuts from SCS off the wheels.

    Thank you

Placed an order for these on 12.18.23. They’re finally shipping it to me this week. Can’t wait to add these to my ray 10s

    I believe a 13/16” socket is correct.

Should be same as any other aluminum wheel on our trucks. 97 lb.ft.

What you guys think? Thinking about painting it all black or keep it gun metal. Also, black bolts or silver bolts?

With the TRD cap, silver ring bolts. Lose the silver cap if you go black bolts.

I ordered some Ray 10's last week in jet black. I am running the Eibach stage 2 kit to emulate the stance of the TRD Pro. UPS confirmed they are delayed, but I should hopefully get them this week. I settled on the 285/70R18 (C Rated) Wildpeaks AT4W's, but can not find them in stock anywhere. I can either wait or go for the 275/70R18's (E Rated) & I am sure there will be buyers remorse. I barely go off road & mainly use my truck around town & tow a trailer about 50% of the time. Anyone has any input on a tire size for my use case? Thought about the 295/70R18 (E Rated), but do not want to do a lot of modding which is still unknown because of the variables.

    Thanks for any input

My Ray 10's ending up being delivered today. Like everyone else mentioned, pictures do not justify the beauty!! I am pretty much settled on 285's & hope the Wildpeaks AT4W's are in stock soon.

I’ve got 285’s and love them, but I’d consider the 35x11.5-18 in LRC as well. Damn near the exact same size, but might ride a tad better.

that said, I just ran 300 miles on my 285s today and they’re smooth as glass. I don’t regret the 285s at all, but might have looked at the 35x11.5 pretty close if it were available when I bought!

Back to the SCS wheels, nice. Nice.

I have Eibach pro, +2 in front and 295/70/18, 12mm offset. No modding for me and slight rub at full lock, but I plan accordingly and rarely full lock my wheel. I will be getting same tire size when I need new rubber. Run at 65ish PSI, pull lots of bump stop bed loads and run a lot of washboard gravel roads but mainly in town. The ride is “rough” so if you’re picky don’t go 295 E

They are probably rough because you're running 65 psi. You run that even empty?

Sure the tire can handle 65 psi. How does the tire wear look? Is that even across the width of the tire or low in the center? Do you run that all the time? Even over washboard roads?

Have you not learned the lessons of less air at times, and more air at other times? There exists an entire realm of traction and ride quality between 65 PSI and 15 PSI under various conditions. It would be wise to explore it.

I run 40 normally when not towing / hauling and down around 25 when sandy washboards...

Maybe with a bump stop load, see if you can cut 5PSI... Then shoot for 7.5, so on and so on until it starts to become a problem on the other side of the coin.

    ---EDIT---

Re-reading it sounds as if I may be trying to be snarky. Not my intent at all. Asking questions is the root of solving a problem. Providing advice is the other side.

Lolol. My tire wear is even and better than when it was in the 40s. As is my MPG. I live in Maine of course I know how to air down we have snow, ice and freezing rain. And I travel hundreds of miles on logging roads and woods in the summer and fall hunting and fishing. Y’all can relax

Great info. I am a little picky about the ride & thanks for the input. The Wildpeaks 285's suppose to be in stock soon. I did find them at Simple Tire, but uncertain of their service. I usually purchase from Tire Rack because of the great customer service.

Well, it all came together this evening. I am running 285/70/18 Falken Wildpeaks AT4W's. I found a local tire guy that has a mobile rig & he was able to get everything mounted/ balanced. I had to remove the back mud flap but plan to remold it with some heat to see if I can get them to clear. I also had to remove the front flaps & adjust the liner forward to barely clear. All in all I am very satisfied with the look with the exception of the chrome running boards.
