Does anyone here use anything to keep the CV boots in a good pliable condition ? Like applying a rubber conditioner or anything.

    Too many, but not enough....
havent heard of it before. I think its pretty tough stuff, its made to survive anything you can throw at it for years. im sure any kind of lube would just attract crap to it and cause it to wear faster.

Just drive regularly. Worse thing that can be done to CV boots is for them to sit up.

No not really, silicone spray can be used to protect rubber and plastics.

The entire undercarriage gets a thorough low pressure hot water and Ajax dish soap treatment directly after any road salt exposure. The rest of the year a cool water rinse now and again.

You’re right just joking. Keeping grease and grime off.

Going through this with atv boots. OEM boots tearing. Demon after mkt axles holding up.

    None....
Wouldn't it attract dust/ Dirt and then increase wear as the axle is moving/bending?

This is not a debate. I provided a link, didn't even read it. Silicone can help protect rubber and plastic. I don't do it myself but if someone was super concern in maximizing the life of their boots, silicone could possibly help.

Many threads on various boards about silicone maybe helping but also 303 for helping rubber aging/cracking. Splitting boots may be due to boot vanes rubbing after lifting due to increase angle. There are mods for that too like kartek (porshe 930) neoprene boot or the ORS silicone boot replacements.

3rd gen guys would definitely buy that! Silicone spray has too much toxic masculinity.
