I'm already running additional brake and backup lights from a 7pin interface. I'll convert the flat 4 pin to weatherpack connectors. It's gonna be a xmas tree - anything to reduce the opportunity to be rear-ended.

Did the install today. Used the clips to be able to remove the bar to access the tire crank. Decent clearances. That typed, mine are going back. The lights have a bit of delay behind the factory brake lights - this does not work with a light modulator. I had previously installed my factory fogs as backup lights - all set there.

If used for the intended purpose, they work well.

Thanks for the tip. After looking at all the options, I went with the VLEDs. It was a very easy and clean install.

???so the thin white wire on the LED stick wiring (small guage wire) does not have to be connected to anything? I could not find ANY instructions for use of this wire. And nothing about the heavier white guage wire which is attached to and part of the easy connect harness. Want to ensure all options work including backup lighting. Any insight?

thin white wire on the LED bar is the backup light. It need to be connected to backup wire in adapter harness. If your adapter harness has the flat 4, you will need to dig out from the remaining 3 wire which is reverse.

Bought the Opt7 pnp 7 pin quick connection which has the 4pin as part of it. Sounds like the two need to be connected?

If this is the one you have, will have to grab the reverse wire from the circled group. Reverse is the wire that goes to the center pin.

the easy connect harness they sent me is not that one - the one they sent me has an additional loose white wire coming from the wire loom at the 4 pin plug at the end - the rest looks the same. I think the easy connect they sent me already has the connection tapped in the location you show - and that is the loose white wire at the 4 pin plug.

EDIT: If you use the link in post #41 and then add the bundle option (adds the easy connect) and then click on the vehicle in that purchase option it will show you the easy connect harness and how it connects for reverse - yes according to the picture the loose white wire coming from the 4 pin loom connects to the light bar white wire - this provides the backup lighting.
