First time hearing about these. Are they lighter than the regular Duratracs?

weight wise not sure. I actually had duratrac 275 70 18 ordered and then seen they were not winter rated. I cancelled and then seen these and ordered them. winter rated, kevlar reinforced warranty on lt size figured I would try. weird but 275 70 18 in regular duratrac excluded for winter rating

That makes sense. Yeah duratracs are generally not great in the snow/ice on pavement. These new RTs look to have more siping which would help alot.

Did you get 275-70-18 in the RT? I’m btw these and originals. The D rated on orig is still 3peak. How do you like so far?

I just put a set of SL rated 275/60R20s Duratrac RTs on our LX. We’ve only had them on for 400 miles or so. Just as quiet as my regular DTs. We’ll see if the Kevlar makes any kind of difference in tread wear or performance. Too early to tell.

I’m on my 2nd set of regular Duratracs on my Tundra. They didn’t have the RT in LT285/75R18, so I stuck with regular Duratracs. I got 47k miles out of the first set, and I beat the snot out of them, so I can’t complain. 3 mountain peak snow rated in this size; never had any issues in snow.

Pro tip, and I know I post this a lot on this forum: your Duratracs will stay quiet if you rotate them frequently.

Good looking tire. I’ve run a number of sets of Duratracs on my work vehicle and a set on my Tundra. They are very good in snow.

I think you’ll be very happy with them. Keep them rotated and keep your alignment straight.

For RWD and 4WD vehicles, you’re supposed to do a rearward cross.
Rears go to front on same side.
    Fronts go to opposite rear.
    IMG_5208.png
The opposite cross, the forward cross is for FWD vehicles.

Trying to find tire weights. Here is what I can find searching sites. I contacted Goodyear. Will update if I get answers. RTs are heavier than original. Videos from Goodyear indicated about 4-5lbs but not sure of size they were referencing. I’m replacing stock. The 275/70s are going to be a huge increase in weight.

    Duratrac RT
    275-70-18
    • 125R E: 60 lbs

    275-65-18
    • XL. 51 lbs, edit: saw Discount Tire lists as 48 lbs
    • E. 54-56 lbs

    original duratracs
    275-70-18
    • D: 54lbs
    • E: 55-58 lbs (two options)

    275-65-18
    • SL: 45 lbs
    • C: 49 lbs

    stock Michelin ltx
    275-65-18
    SL: 41lbs

Adding to the bump. Any updates or other people get?

I plan to get the XL stock size when I get around to it. Still lil life yet on current. Plan to do before a summer trip

My shop neighbor has these on his new Super Duty. He drives more than I do and has a camper shell, bed slide, and bed full of gear like I do. We work a lot of the same areas and both see inclement weather and poor road conditions several months a year. He loves them - more so than the originals. In person, they do look more refined than the originals, and appear to have a more a optimized tread pattern with better siping which is a must in our neck of the woods.

The Duratrac RTs on our LX570 have continued to do great. We’re closing in on 7k miles with them. I rotated them at 4k miles. Doing a 5 tire rotation.

They are 275/60R20 in SL rating. 50.25 lb.

Discount Tire says the regular Duratrac in this size has been discontinued. It was listed as being 49 lb in the same SL rating.

Wish the RTs had been released in 285/75R18 before I put new tires on my truck in September. I would’ve gone with those instead of the regular Duratracs.

Here’s a tread pic of each.

These don't seem to be 3PSMF rated in all sizes. Eg 285/75R18 is not 3 peak rated

Just an update I have 275 70 18 rt. Have about 8k miles now. Still look brand new basically and balance still good, hardly any noise
