When was the last time you redlined it through multiple gears?

Find a safe place to do this...

Put it in drive and from a standstill, let the TCM do the shifting as you mash the throttle up through 60-70 MPH...do this a few times and it should help with the delay for a little while...

Thanks all, does anyone use the Pedal Commander, I've read good and bad things about it and not sure if it voids warranty.

I've seen some delays but now it seems to be tied to steering angles. Between having the steering wheel turned between 25 and 90 degrees and the normal conditions of a rolling stop.

I believe the tuners out there are working with new software right now developing tunes for this new generation ECU, so its possible in a few months you may be able to work with a 3rd party tuner to help tweak the logic a bit if you want to go down that route.

I experience same lag as others, yet sometimes the throttle is so touchy my head snaps back like I mashed the pedal. It’s like Jekyll and Hyde, and I never know which throttle response I’ll get. Rolling stops seem to help…

Any info on who is releasing or who to follow for more info (i.e. dyno vids etc.)? Excited to hear about this!

    Will it void the warranty?

Yes voids warranty. Running 3rd party tunes on 3rd gen taco's though became pretty common and most tunes out there focused on drivability issues rather than pushing the motor beyond its limits.

Its something between you and a tune provider and your own personal acceptance of risk.

Haven't gone through all pages in this post but found a good workaround, shifting the gear lever into "S" prevents auto shut off and eliminates any lag, then just shift back to "D" once you get going, even when not in Sports or Tow mode.

Mine is irrelevant to auto start/stop. It’s a throttle response issue.

Technically nothing will automatically "void" a warranty. The manufacturer has to demonstrate that the modification you made to the vehicle resulted in the whatever you're claiming under warranty. So if you tune the vehicle and then there's a problem with your brakes, it will be hard for them to deny the warranty claim based upon the tune. But if you were to have an engine issue, it would be relatively easy for them to deny the warranty claim.
