    Well shit. Now THEY tell me.

    I have $140 worth of 75W90 (I bought two gallon jugs) sitting in my geeeeerage. Sigh. That's what's going in her when I get to it. I'm at 42,500 miles right now. So just when the time and weather are right for me.

    I've used this Ravenol now for more than 25,000 miles (Used it on all my other vehicles too). It purrs like a kitten. This stuff is legit and there is a lot of science that goes into developing this and matching it with the equipment. If it comes to mechanical know how, the Germans know exactly what the're doing. Don't get me wrong, the Japanese do too, but I'm going with the Germans on this one.

    Here is the VOA (virgin oil analysis) for Toyota's 75w gear oil. Many manufacturers do not have a comparable gear oil.

    From what I've read, the two most important values are in the Properties shaded section where it says "values should be".

    I used the Revoil in the rear Diff. As far as i can tell it decreased my MPG a little, but then again it could be due to the cold weather starts in the AM to warm up the truck. I would think that the German oil system and testing will exceed all manufacture standards.

    Hi @1794TRD,
    I have 2017 Tundra 1794. I am about to do transfer case fluid change. I figured the transfer case drain plug and fill plug changed. I wonder if the torque spec is still the same 27 ft lbl? Let me know if you have this information!!

    I recently changed the transfer case and differential fluids on my truck.

    Rear differential and transfer case were easy, but the front differential was a problem.

    I couldn't remove the drain plug and I had to take it to a mechanic, not the dealership.

    I have since read this is a fairly common problem and the drain plug tends to come from the factory over tightened.

    I reused the the washers that were originally installed and I haven't had any leaking. I probably flipped the washer before reinstalling, but I'm not sure.

    Please review the Ravenol 75w mtf3 voa I posted and compare to OEM Toyota. Similar viscosity , yes, similar wear package, no.

    Ever find the torque specs? Selling my tundra and I want to ensure all the fluids are good to go so i want to replace the transfer gear and differential oils.

    Rear is 38 and front is either 26 or 28. I have it written down somewhere and will verify.

    Rear: 36ft lbs
    Front: 29ft lbs
    Tc: 26ft lbs

    I found two places that said the front ones have TWO specs:

    Front diff drain plug - 48 lb-ft
    Front diff fill plug - 29 lb-ft https://empyreoffroad.com/blogs/res...toyota-tundra-diy-maintenance-reference-guide

    However, I also have the service manual and it clearly says 29 for both:

    Maybe this is why one of the plugs is overtightened at times?

    Edit: I found the answer to my original question below. P/N 9043024003 is for the front diff drain, and is copper. Front diff fill is the same as rear diff drain/fill washers

    For 2014+ trucks, the transfer case plugs are NPT threads that do not have crush washers.

    Which of the part numbers is the copper crush washer? There's discussion in this thread about 2014+ models not needing t-case washers, as well as unique washers for drain vs fill plugs.
