I mean, it’s a forum, everything is visible, it’s not like I can hide trying to meet a 50 post limit. I’ve been a member for a few years, and haven’t really commented on the builds I’ve been following, so figured I’d go back and post my honest thoughts. What’s up with the “think it’s a joke” assumption? Just because I haven’t commented for many months, doesn’t mean I’m not an ethical member of the forums and posting genuine thoughts.

THAT is the way to do an external Ham/Scanner antenna on our Tundras. Take it from an RF antenna engineer, what we want is a short RF path from base of antenna to the body of the vehicle. A nice short trunk lip mount with NMO mount is the way to go. I've looked at my 1794 in detail for where to put it, and this location on left in front of driver is about the only reasonable place. Good job @Adam

What mount are you using? I have a flush mount like that, however no matter where I put it on the back of the hood (cowl area, like yours) it does not sit flat. It is secure, but it is not sitting flat at all.

Adam_1794 - you said earlier that your lower front TUNDRA bumper arrived with your new heritage grill. Where did you get the lower front TUNDRA bumper?

looks like you pulled the side 1794 emblems/chrome off, were those just adhesive? no issue?

Really like your build! I just purchased a Magnetic Gray 1794 and am planning on many of the same improvements that you have made. Regarding the swap of the 1794 grill to the Heritage grill, was there anything you encountered that was unexpected? I came across a thread that talked about having to make spacers to be installed with the auto shutters to position them away from the Heritage grill, but they didn't disclose which version of the Tundra grill they started with. Just trying to prepare for my install. Thanks!

Nice looking truck! How yours looks with the handles and window trim staying chrome is making me rethink my plan to dechrome those too.

<SILLY TOYOTA, if I order a TRD Offroad package, I want no chrome anywhere, and 18" wheels, without having to pay for those 'upgrades' aftermarket.>

Great looking truck! I'm thinking about a 1794 for my next vehicle (sold my Tundra in 2021...big mistake!). Anyway, I'm curious about that 1794 emblem too - easy to remove? is it all one piece?
