The latter is a really bizzare comedy. The 7 1/2th floor scene is hilarious - “low overhead!”

there’s more to it than just what’s shown here though.

Etsy is strangely one of the best places I've seen for custom mailboxes.

Broke down, emailed the etsy seller. Hate the idea of paying custom for something so simple, but no metal tools or crafting skills. :-(

You don't think all that steel back there would qualify as a bumper? the storage box, ramps, frame, that's all there is back there, and its all steel. That storage box is full of riding gear btw, without a doubt. Riding gear (helmets, boots, etc.), a couple stands, a tool box, and some fuel and other fluids. I like how the front tires drop down into a pocket so you almost dont even need to tie them down. I would anyways, but don't see any in the pic.
I'm glad you said it :anonymous: It kinda looks like one of those small cans next to the toilets in a womens restroom. @alb1k Where do you put the outgoing mail?
What's the goal here? Besides one box in front of the other, thats obvious. Save wall space with a smaller footprint?

In GA, there's a legal requirement vehicles be "equipped with an appropriate energy absorption system conforming to all federal motor vehicle safety standards applicable to such automobile on the date of manufacture"

You're right, there's a lot of stuff that would offer 'energy absorption', but not anything conforming to FDOT's safety standards. A physical bumper with some kind of crumpling impact would probably do it.

But of all the things I'm not, a lawyer is definitely one of them. I may be full of shit

I see vehicles without bumpers here all the time and never heard of anyone getting harassed about it. However, if they pulled you over for other reasons, and they could use it to their advantage, that's another story

An energy absorption material is something as simple as styrofoam. Infinity cars use it all the time behind their plastic bumper cover. I’m sure a lot of other vehicles do the same.

I had one on my '03 Sierra when I moved up here to ATL, like, 20-something years ago. Went to three different dealerships looking to trade-in for something smaller that fit in the glut of parking decks here. The first two wouldn't take it because of that damn roll pan. "We can't sell this, it's a liability". 3rd told me they'll take it, but it's going to auction out of state.

Florida could give a shit less. I never got beef on it. Wish I had pics after the roll pan was installed... this is one of the only ones I have left. @jImmegart I wasn't kidding about having stones on everything back then.

Never had to do a brake check. And they'd be mad, because i turn my mirrors way down. They have me work the horn and lights, and send me on my way.
    Costs me $7.

The default setting on this board is to automatically "watch" any thread that you post to. It annoys the shit out of me, but not enough to take time to figure out how to disable it.

Most of the time my bike goes out to the desert with other toys so it ends up on a trailer. But when I'm taking the bikes on my truck, we do use a Joe Hauler hitch carrier. Got it used for a pretty good deal after trying another brand. They're made locally in San Marcos, and they are the top of the line when it comes to hitch carriers. They have what's called a "Cam-Loc" - pretty much there's a nut on the hauler that can be tightened and it locks it in tight to the receiver. We tried another brand prior to this and it was not rigid at all inside the hitch receiver, the manufacturer's suggestion was to use those clamps that go around the receiver. That obviously didn't work.

    One other tip too.

If you want to very rapidly audit and un-watch the glut of threads you've accumulated...

    Go here: https://www.tundras.com/watched/threads/all

Put a checkmark next to every thread you don't want to watch anymore (1), then at the bottom of the list choose dropdown option "Stop watching threads" (2), then click "Go" button (3).

Shoot a pic of the full coilover. Definitely doesn't look like a 5100.

Looking at FBG's site, yours look like FBG struts, not 5100's.

The website doesn't show the Bilstein set up. I just called Fat Bob's and they're going to call back to confirm the part number. Worst case, I'll measure out the shock with a caliper. I was just hoping someone knew so I can order them now.

I did question the strut when I first bought it (yr 2017) because it didn't come with the Bilstein sticker. I called Fat Bob's and they said it was a Bilstein shock. I really hope it is.
