This "fixes" his leaking diff seal too! I'll do some looking into compatibility.

Hold up, hold, hold up. So we all know the original sequoias came with 4.10 gears same as the 04 DC tundras. That's fine and all that but I need 4.56s with my dirty threes. First thing we need to look at is axle width. I'm running 1.25" spacers to push my stock wheels with 33x10x16 tires out to the factory non TRD flares. So, IIRC, the sequoia has a DC axle that's a little bit wider than our AC and RC trucks. So that gives us about 2.5" width to play with. At this point it's just me and Jake doing a little back and forth. However, I'm not opposed to buying that axle and letting him do a little experiment on Ironman. We're just gonna play this by ear, but I may either request some 4.10 front gears, or buy some 4.56 gears(which, after checking, are out of stock). I don't see why we can't set up a 4 link, I mean hell, that's what the sequoia came with. I dunno, I have a feeling Ironman may become a test bed for some things. As long is @JakeJake is up to it, so am I. We're just gonna have to see what plays out.

And you're on either 265/75r16 or 265/70r17, right?
Can you roast the tires from a stop?
    I'm on 265/60r18, so a stock 30.5" diameter tire.

Gas went up 26¢/gal Tuesday. Since then it's dropped 4¢/gal. My dumb ass didn't fill up Monday.

    Stock tires. 265/65 or 70 17's.

Haven't fully punched it dry but it definitely gets off the line way better. Since I have the lower 1st on the a750 trans.

I have limited traction in the wet off the line. Even with an LSD.

Yep. I expected it to do that for Thanksgiving but it consistently went down 2¢ every few days til it hit $2.33 then went up to $2.59 Tuesday, when I needed gas. Now it's $2.55

Would've been more fair if they ran em all on the same fuel. TFL always fucks stuff up like that and also facts. They stated the wrong specs for our tow limit and cargo limit.

Really not a fair comparison. Our trucks are not fast. The 3rd gens are. I wonder if we would beat a Taco.

Even less fair when they only gave the v8's 87 vs 93 in the turd.
But it would be awesome to see a supercharged best gen vs turd gen vs supercharged suckit gen

Yeah, I saw that video a few weeks ago. That's more of a 2nd gen vs 3rd gen video. But, it was a good watch. They do praise the 1st gen in there. Our 1st gens are, ass asshole says, more of a vs tacoma truck. I know we can't hang with a 5.7 2nd gen. Hell, I drive a 4.6 2nd gen at work and it would spank Ironman. No question. The thing is, size vs what you're doing. I don't think many 1st gen owners(not me anyways) are using these trucks for hauling. They're essentially old tacomas with a v8. Which is why we love them! Just ask @KNABORES, or @Outbound, or @empty_lord. They own both gens. Hell, my work truck is a 2nd gen and I'd still rather drive mine. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's not a fair comparison between 1st and any gen. We're tacomas with a v8.

Tacomas are great and all, I've owned 2 first gen tacos and drive my dad's second gen taco sometimes. But first gen tundras are waaay better than "Tacomas with a V8" bro... don't sell us short. My tundra is way more comfortable than dad's second gen taco

I had an m18 for a little bit. I liked it, but that thing is thiccc. It was hard for me to conceal. Plus I love my M&P’s. Apex trigger was pretty good in the 320. Not nearly as crisp as M&P, but definitely better than stock. Also had a comp’d 365x. I think I’d prefer that one again over the 320.

I will concede this: first gen Tundra is like a wide body first gen Taco with a V8, when it comes to styling and handling.

Running around town, down the highways - the 1G Taco is uncomfortably small, a tin can. On the trails, off road - it is perfection.
Running around town, down the highways - the 1G Tundra is perfection, big enough to hold whatever, small enough to merge, good balance of oomph & MPG under the hood. On the trails, off road - it is a bit of a chunkster.
Having both is just the right balance.

and let's face it, small trucks twerking just don't measure up to big trucks twerking.

I loved my 1G Tacos. They fit everywhere and had decent power for their size. But I always wanted to supercharge my 5vz's. I had no issues driving em for years and years. But man I love the V8 and the extra elbow room

When I’m old and they’ve finally taken away all of our toys, I’m really gonna miss V8. There’s just something magical that no amount of boost can replace. The commercials ain’t wrong, You really, really shoulda had a V8.

I would argue the 1st gen Tundra handles better than any gen Tacoma due to its lower center of gravity and wider track width. I also feel safer in a Tundra vs a Taco.

Personally, I always felt safe in my tacos. Their maneuverablily was awesome. Surprisingly, they are rated to tow 5000 lbs if you have the 6 lug v6, like I did.
My tundra is rated to tow 7100lbs.
Those tacos are nothing to scoff at. They'll always have a special place in my heart. I'm always on the lookout for a low miles 5vz 5spd. Throw a supercharger in the mix and now you're cooking with gas.
