Cover the trap with a blanket and he won't see you to spray you. Have trapped many a skunk with mine from under the in-laws house.

We use ours to relocate opossums and raccons, because they have been known to kill our chickens. Sometimes we catch cats as collateral damage haha

I have a lawn guy because I have about an acre and he charges $35 every two weeks to mow my weeds. I "touch up" in between. I'll eventually get back to it myself . .maybe.

I was going to say, y'all beat me to it. Been running errands. About to pickup the CRV.

Garbage moving blanket over the trap. Then you can move it wherever. I'd personally want to put it at motorcycle thief crackhead's place, but that's too close to home maybe? Extermination is probably the best way to go. IIRC, it's illegal to shoot trapped animals in my state. I have a purpose-made water bath. You just drop the offending critter into the water bath, inside the trap, and it's pretty quick and humane. But that's reserved for anything I can't easily relocate, and/or anything that's caused massive damage/suffering.

And on that last bit, we specifically had this one bastard squirrel with a bald spot on his ass that would sit grab peaches from our peah tree, climb up the nearby hackberry and intentionally throw them at people. Got my MIL at least 3 times, so we know it was 100% on purpose, one of the kids twice, my wife and the other kid once. Filled a HAH trap with peaches and waited. Caught two other tree rats, I relocated a few blocks away. Then finally caught that little bald-ass shit. It was a pleasure watching him go down.

PS - not that one would do it with a moving blanket used for a skunk, but how are you supposed to wash/clean a moving blanket?

You don’t. You cycle them out. They start as furniture separators, covers, etc. Once they get a tear, they become garage blankets, to throw over front fenders while under the hood, and finally on the ground to lay on under the truck, and once they’ve soaked up enough oil, they are garbage. I usually lose them or leave them places/with people before they’re ever fully used. Harbor frat house has cheap ones. They’re cheap and they’re cheap. If ya nawm sayin

You tie a rope to the blanket. Take the trap to the disposal zone, pull the blanket off at rope distance and then dispatch the animal. By whatever means is appropriate.

    Supposedly drowning is more humane.

I dunno. I've only offed two of them that were hyper-destructive and/or aggressive.

I hit a full moving blanket on a riding mower once. Fucker started to chew through it before it wrapped up the three blades SOLID.Took about an hour to cut everything free.

I'm amazed at how dead all the forums are for the crown vic and 4.6 mustangs. The mustangs are 99-04, about the same age as our trucks. Just dead dead dead. There was about 15 posts in a row with 0 replys on one forum. The crown vic was from 92-11, so older and newer. Fucking nothing. I've posted 9 times and got 3 replys. You'd think someone showing up with a procharged, 6spd swapped, low mile car would get SOME attention. Hell, I've gotten more attention here than from the crown vic enthusiasts!

Anyways, that's one of the reasons it's nice around here, minus the 2.5 goobers that continually wander in. They know who they are.

With that outta the way, I took off a little early to go check on my car. They had the blower pulled back and most pulleys off. The tensioner had a definate wobble, and he said the belt was way to tight. He's gonna re-adjust the blower, replace the pulley and belt, and get a re-tune. It'd be nice to have it back Friday, but I'm not stressing. I'd rather they take their time and get it right. That's what lead me to the other forums. I figured there had to be some procharged 4.6s out there with a ton of info.
