It's probably one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I had an all white pair back in high school and I've got the all black with white swoosh currently and I'm never missing a restock on the classic color ways so I can beat on them. They're just too comfy to not wear.

I can totally identify! I remember when i first bought the machine and did a bunch of welding with no shirt on! And got a bit of a tan a few days ago from my Esab mig while wearing a tank top, so i feel as though i got off easy. It's probably about time i post up some more updates of what i'm doing with my tundra...

My first pair was in 4th grade that i used for racing cross county. They were a lot better than the Pro Wings from the Payless Volume Shoe Source.

I cooked my eyes miging up sheet aluminium on the interior of an LCAC. Had a full face in and everything. The arc light bounced off the other side of the space on the fresh sheets and reflected off my lens into my eyes, couldn't see for 2 days. Back of my head and neck was burnt as well. And that's how I learned about confined space welding

We like pictures, like a lot.

I know better and generally wear pants and a long sleeve at minimum. It catches me when I go out to look at something not intending to work and wake up from a shop blackout four hours later sunburnt and thirsty.

I know better too, but I still do it all the damn time. I'll think that I'm just doing a little job and it'll be no problem. A few days later I'll notice the inside of my arm peeling and wonder how I got sunburnt because I haven't done anything outside (work in an office). Then it hits me, oh yeah dumbass, you were welding last weekend.

let it die & swap in an LS or ford windsor. You can tune em to get better fuel economy, or you can use a wuhan war whistle to have 500hp on high test pump gas.

Just noticed something, if you have/sign in to your RA account, then go to "Order status & returns/My Account" you can see if you have a current discount code.
I've spent a little cash keeping the old "fleet" running, but way cheaper than payments!

My first mistake... err X-wife was an assistant buyer (shoes) for a major retailor, I had more free shoes than I knew what to do with.

I didn't even know there was a shoe scene. I just bought em to relive my youth a little. I'm a pair of silver tabs, a Jr Seau jersey, and an 89 yellow CR-X away from high school totality.

But yeah, the kids were going on and on about crease protectors and sole protectors and I'm like, dudes, I'm gonna wear these for 10-15 years. They're gonna get creased, scuffed, and used. These aren't collectors items for me. I'm gonna use them like it's 1993. I would say they're my dailys, but just like my work truck, my work boots are my dailys. They'll get used one or twice on the weekends. My air maxes now are going on 6 years and don't need to be replaced.

Went by my buddy's and picked up a new 55/5 after the movie. Replaced in about 5 minutes and the condenser fired right up. It was still 86 in there when I got home. I did a big brain before I left and shut my bedroom door to let my window unit cool my room down. It worked to keep my room temp down to normal. AC was on when I woke up then shut off so it's back to normal. I fucking hate summer time.

What’s the humidity though? For me, that’s just work in the shade weather if it’s low humidity.

Not dissimilar here. I can say without doubt, this is one of the hottest summers we've had here in eons. More days in the 90s than any summer I can recall in several years, more streaks of drought weather.

We average somewhere in the mid 40%'s but its wildly different depending on the season and current weather pattern. Sometimes as low as 13-15%. 57% currently.

The traffic would've driven you nuts. It's the one thing I remember from living down there, and last time I was there for a certification training, it was 3x as bad as I remembered.

Yeah I saw it was a bunch of stuff that also didn't fit but I didn't see that button.

It is interesting you can still buy those running boards. Those are the ones it seems like people are always trying to get their hands on. Wonder if some would actually show up if you ordered them.

Yeah, the 2 week forecast is not looking good. We go to the xcape room for my b-day every year then to Kabuki or Jorges. I always ride my motorcycle and usually get rained on. It's gonna be 103 on Saturday so I don't think I'm gonna ride this year.

I get angry when there's more than 3 cars in front of me on the loop. I can't handle stop and go traffic at all. It's just not a thing around here.
