    So my cap would hinge on the passenger side, and lift like the green arc. A cab height cap (blue) would hinge on the driver side and lift to follow the red arc. If done smart, the ends fold out making a door & mostly weather tight.

    Thanks. I know my 06 has panic, I think my 03 does as well. Come to think of it I think my 03 has an LED, but I know my 06 doesn't. I'll have to look when I get home.

    We are also supposed to get rain for the next week or so. Ugh. Really puts a cramp on my foot miles. I guess I'll either be walking Walmart or I might finally get a gym membership. My right arm still ain't right. But I could stand to do some leg workouts with weights.

    I noticed at work last night that my passenger front tire was low. Looked like I had aired it down. I tried to check it with my Slime brand digital gauge and it said Lo.B (low battery). I would've had the Firestone next door fill it up, but I walk that parking lot 50x a night and I see tons of tire penetratibg debris. So I drove it home 20mins while low. Wouldn't be the first time (T2S).... Paid $15 for that slime gauge like 6 years ago. Two new batteries for it was $15. What a rip off. Insult to injury, the POS was a PITA to put back together, then with the fresh batteries it still said Lo.B. I messed with it for like 30 mins, then finally went and got an analog tire gauge. 15psi... Yep that's what I air down to off road. Sketch. Aired it up before work tonight and sent it. I figure if I made it this long/far since it had 40psi Sunday when we left Merus, it'll be fine till I can have Discount Tire fix it for free Thursday on my day off. I put it at 45psi just to be safe though. If they can't patch it, I'll just pay the $45 for a new certificate and get a brand new tire. Just sucks I'll have to waste my time going there and then they'll have to order it and then waste more time when it shows up. Ugh

    You gonna add some leafs? I need to order longer flipped u-bolts and center pins, so I can stick Beau's Deaver AALs onto my Alcan packs. I'm supposed to be picking up a hard top Thursday, so I'll also need to swap the SOS 0.5" lowering block onto the 03 and swap it's current 1" lift (lowering) block onto the 06 as well. Then I'll likely add a 0.5" of preload to the coil overs

    Been a while, but yes I think they were the tiny NEO 4.2
    I wasn't happy with the light output from the LED, because it didn't shine out towards the switch face.
    So I ended up stuffing one of the old fat incandescents in there.... hasn't melted yet:notsure:

    In another thread we were talking about why a 10 or 15 year old truck, in the 90s, felt so old, when our 20+ year old Tundras feel so modern. And `shifty bringing up how fast things changed back then. No matrix moment necessary, it's just that technology really was so arcane back then. But a 2006 truck is pretty modern. Anyway, as much as I'd rather have a Chinook grafted onto the back of my Tundra, taking the 1970's pickup they originally came on, and making it a 4x4, is definitely appealing.

    I loved just sitting in Chinook in the driver seat, looking at the dash. It was so damn cool.

    Unfortunately I somehow didn't keep my full-resolution photos. But you get the idea. The dash pad, the knobs, the choke...

    Most (but not all) Toyota motorhomes were "foolies". They just welded another wheel onto a 1/4 ton axle. Which instead of making it stronger, actually made it weaker somehow that I can't remember anymore...but somehow putting more leverage and stress on everything.

    There were a few built on true duallys, and you can find some old one-ton axles on former U-haul Toyota pickups to swap onto a motorhome, but the true duallys were rare.

    What i'd give for an early 90's e-brake handle. Not sure i can afford custom wing vent windows.

    when i swap to a diesel, i'd like a knob so i can adjust between 50hp worth of fuel to 300hp worth of fuel and could set a flat-footed cruise control.

    Although i'm all about running (because i'm a runner), (compound) lifting weights will mostly likely burn way more calories and be more beneficial. Walking mostly just gives you exercise, not burning very much calories whatsoever. In order to burn them walking, you would need to find a real steep up hill and (like a couple miles long) and attack it at 3~4mph...and that's with both arms pumping. Strolling along with a cell phone in one hand while google searching tundra builds is only going to get you run over by an inattentive driver. Cardio is excellent for the heart, lifting weights is what's excellent for loosing the weight. When you build up muscle from lifting weights, the muscles will burn calories while you're at rest. That means when you're sleeping, you would still be burning calories! That's why it's important to have as much of a muscle content % (opposite of body fat content). After you start building up the muscles, then you can start relying on them to do their job. It's pretty crazy how the Creator designed the human body. It's designed to be active, and when it is, it excels. When it's inactive, then the body tends to fall apart and go to the crapper.

    I stubbed the shit out of my toe putting a buddy to bed in big bear, he had it staked down like a tornado was headed our way!!! It took over a year to grow a new toenail. I’m a firm believer in no stakes!!!!!

    I was very heavy into both in-line skating and boarding for about 20 years. I was big into handrails. Of course many fails. After than many years of smacking my shins on rails and concrete ledges, they became impervious to pain. Literally hundreds of scars on my shins (i never wore shin guards). Pretty sure that's the same way jean claude van damme trained.

    IIRC the manual trucks used the tacoma/4runner style parking brake handle. So you may be able to convert your foot brake to handle.

    VERY impressive! No way could my shins hold a candle to his. Plus his 360 windups looked super rad with his accuracy. Training like that will make your bones a lot more dense. While he purposely trains his shins, i didn’t make that my goal. Getting a shinner was just instant punishment for not getting a good “lock” onto the handrail and banging the shin. Even though my shins became just about impervious to pain, undoubtedly my tibia bone would snap like a toothpick if i purposely tried to kick a telephone pole down. I’d probably tear the posterior and anterior cruciate ligaments along with too!

    Ok suspension experts, I'm thinking about combining the Solo LCAs with the Total Chaos uniball LBJs, because I want to keep the OEM tie rods and this is the most cost effective combination. Any obvious reason this wouldn't work that I may be overlooking? I already have new Toyota brand inners and outters waiting to be installed. Just waiting for the Black Friday deals to place orders.
    Mixing and matching would save me $1027 from TC current prices, then I could sell my new in box OEM LBJs (2004+).
    Or mixing and matching would save me $564 from Solo current prices, but would include heim tie rods. So I'd be looking at selling my new in box OEM inner and outter tie rods and LBJs (2004+).
