Gents, my cruise wasn't working suddenly, the horn wasn't working. And the air bag light was on. After replacing the clock spring with OEM part (430.00$ ouch) I'm happy to report the cruise works again and also the horn! Unfortunately the airbag light is still on. Any thoughts on the next thing to chase to get that light off?

Did you disconnect the negative battery cable while replacing the clockspring?

General rule of thumb is to never disconnect an orange or yellow connector (i.e. SRS connector) while the truck is energized. The SRS system can log a code, and a standard code reader won't erase it. Some readers can't even read it.

Knowing what SRS code is set would be helpful, otherwise it could be a few things.

See if you can find someone or a reader that'll give you SRS codes so you can figure out what it's beefing about. I'm going to take a qild stab and say it's a squib circuit fail, but would need to know which. Without a code, you may as well be punching in the dark.

You may find your friendly local auto parts store has a reader that can pull ABS codes. It's worth a shot.
