Coilovers and rear shocks came in. Seeing these Eibachs in person makes me super happy about my choice vs spacers

its almost 1:30am and we got the install completed. All my friend and i needed was some good Mexican food and a few beers. First it turned into "lets just do the rear shocks." Next thing you know we're doing the fronts and it is all said and done. Alignment tomorrow and better pictures :D

I will say this, these Eibach shocks are extremely smooth compared to my stockers and I am extremely happy I went with these vs a spacer lift.

This looks killer, grill, head lights, and color matched surround... On my mod list next summer.. Well done

Quick update, but in the matter of one week I've driven over 1k miles already with the new wheel/tire/suspension combo. Zipping all around to the local towns and a quick trip to the Los Angles area and back on Saturday.

The ride is much nicer than stock especially going down the highway. I was a lot more plush when hitting bridge approaches and departures along with just random bumps on the road. Tires are extremely quite which is nice too. MPG did go down. My regular trip to La Verne, Ca was 17.5 prior and dipped to 15.5 but i cant complain that much. The ride and looks make up for that loss lol.

Got the Total Chaos Cam Tab kit installed. Never was a fan of the factory ones on my Tacoma so I figured why not on the Tundra.

After my new alignment i have no more rub like i used to on the passenger side swaybar.

Ive also got some 1.25" BORA spacers i need to get around to installing.

Thanks Jordan. I think it’s pretty much done for now.

my list still includes a camper shell, 35s, and a few other little things but those are on hold.

Those LC wheels on that truck really pop off in that bronze. Do you plan on doing anything with that chrome front bumper? I’ve been wanting to color match mine but I don’t know what route to take.

Yeah, I’m super happy with the decision to go with the LC wheels. It’s something different vs the regular selection of wheels(method, scs, kmc, etc).

In regards to the bumper, I’ve called a few places and wrap or powder coat is really their only answers. They all told me that getting it color matched is going to be hard but they’d be able to “get close”. Price was pretty expensive too. About $1000 for both front and rears. Hard to justify if they can’t get it color matched you know?

Might go the route of getting new black bumpers and having them painted instead.

I feel like they should be able to get the exact paint from Toyota and get it perfect. The issue may be caused by fading in the paint I imagine. I loved the chrome at first on my ‘07, but then as the years went on it makes it feel dated. Might go the same route as you and get black front and rears.

The fact they said they couldnt get it exact was a big issue why im holding off on it. I dont want to invest that much into something im not happy with you know?

I'm okay with the chrome for now, but obviously want a change at some point. Just gotta keep my eyes pealed open for used ones or something.

Unless i go this route for the front but it's a bit pricey.. The rear one they have that can be painted is an ABS plastic so I'm not doing that.

When you do your new bumper do you plan on going for more of a Baja build bumper? I’ve been looking at some bumpers but I’m really not sure what route to go. I follow a guy on Instagram with a great looking front end. I’ll attach a picture below.

I've done the whole offroad bumper thing before with my Tacoma and it's not really my style anymore. Plus it begins the whole rabbit hole of mods..
Also want to avoid drawing unnecessary attention towards me with the big offroad bumpers/lightbars and what not.
I'm more of the observer from afar now.. :notsure:

That’s very understandable. I’m probably gonna have to go with something rugged like that because of my occupation.

Put PPF on the headlights. I just had to swap mine out under warranty because the lenses started hazing. They were a year and a half old.

Will do. I have to repaint the truck then I plan on doing some exterior mods. I’m not sure if I should repaint it Pyrite Mica or change the color.

Looks great. It’s amazing what the amber lights and splash of color with the badge and wheels does to update it.

Thank you! It defiantly has a little more modern touch to it now.

If only I could do some updated LED tail lights with something that I like and are quality I'd be set.

im sure there is something different with the wiring for the tail lights too so who knows. If i get a bed that was given to me, i might give it a shot. I dont want to spend a fortune just for an updated rear section because you know how it goes... 2014+ front end swap would be next
