2017 Platinum 4x4 MGM build

Swapped out my step bars for these Rough Country 3” with step up. More solid and beefier

 

Installing today: Rough Country 6” lift kit with Vertex coil over/reservoir shocks front and rear, coach builder steering and drop carrier bearing, Jomax front sway bar end links, Hostile Rage 20/10/-19, Arturro MT 35/12.5/20

RC 6” lift kit with Vertex coil over front and rear, coach builder drop carrier bearing and steering, Jomax front sway bar end line, SDHQ body mount chop plates….only waiting on my Hostile Rage rims:20/10/-19 and Arturo MT 35”x12.5”x20

 

OEM power tailgate lock, plug and play. Easy instal. Should have come automatic with the Platinum edition.

 

Came in and only had time to mount the brackets. Ran out of day light due to washing, detailing, installing OEM power tailgate lock. decided to locate the 8gallon water tank on the horizontal rack between the two truck bed racks on the driver side, perfect location. Have to complete on my next days off. TO BE CONTINUED

 

8gallon pressurized potable water on custom Yakima HD over haul side mounts times two for over 200 lb weight capacity. Had to get 5 grade bolts due to having it mounted in the side versus top mount. Re-drilled mounting holes for side bars and added rubber bushing to help with noise reduction on side bars and tank mounts. Due to max height on my garage at 7’5” and my truck was already at 7’3”. Overall very happy utilizing that dead space on the outer rack which fit perfect. Ordered another horizontal bar for the other side to balance the look. Probably will mount some other goodies yet to be determined ie; bigger 10# fire extinguisher.

 

Already installed the RC 6” with vertex coil overs. Adjusted setting to 2 and rides smoother than stock, height is perfect with 20/10/-19, 35/12.5/20

 

Added Yakima padded tailgate bike rack. Perfect for my needs

 

Damn ordered my rims/tires back in August 11. After my lost rim issues, then out of stock issues, then shipping issues….finally came in. Since it took so long might as well include new brake rotors/pads/ stainless steel brake lines. Instal in 2weeks. Waited this long, what’s 2 more weeks

 

How’s the RC lift working? Curious as to carrier bearing drop. Does this not come with rough country kit? I’m looking at upgrading the current pro comp 3/1 to the RC vertex coil over. I have SPC control arms and coachbuilder steering kit left over from my previous tundra. Plan on adding as well. Just curious as to how your current ride/set up is and if you’re happy with the RC vertex adjustable front/rear

 

Vertex are 10x better than stock as you have (8) adjustable dampening settings and bigger/ heavier duty shocks. The drop carrier is a must and should have been included as they stop drive shaft vibrations during acceleration. Looks like you have other good parts and the RC lift kit/Vertex is a big upgrade

Vinyl wrap matte black my brush aluminum door trim. NO more chrome in the interior

 

Carbon fiber my steering wheel pillars and matte black emblem

 

Matte black center infotainment center pillars. Now no more chrome or brush aluminum, replaced with either carbon fiber or matte black.

 

Finally my Yakima HD overhaul side bars came in. Custom mounted to Mollie rig, the longer mollie on the outside and short on the inside. Will probably mount my lrg fire extinguisher on the front large mollie rig

 

Took my large fire extinguisher out from my tool box and installed on mollie rig bracket that’s on Yakima side bars. With extra security measures. Did not want to give theives an easy access fire extinguisher, this has a bike key pad lock that will slide loose when unlock to give easy access(the key is in my center console)

 

2022 TRD peddles, only had to drill in the center for the parking brakes. The rest was just a slip on replacement

 

Where did you get the steering wheel emblem overlay?

HUD(heads up display) made use of the space on dash. Now can just glance quickly while driving, set mines on time & mph and chirp at 65 and 10 mph increments after. Not that I speed all the time hehe

 

After my initial fire extinguisher cable lock. Did not like how difficult it would be to unlock and unravel the cables. Found a better solution; color match metal zip tie with combination lock. Easy to unlock, pull pin from mount and ready for action if needed.
