I got a 2018 Sport double cab for $38,500 in April.
This was in Oregon so maybe the market is cheaper here?
    The housing market sure isn’t!

Nice! I spent 3 days negotiating. I went the last day of the month.. and they were short of their quota lol I walked away with tss black 20" swapped on the truck thrown in to sweeten the deal as well.

$44,700 i think was my final number for 2018 platinum 4x4.

That’s not a terrible price considering you’re rolling in the tax. Not a great deal considering ‘19s are hitting the lot, but you’re not getting gouged. If it’s exactly what you want, I’d haggle a little more. If it’s not exactly what you want, tell him so nicely and tell him to call you when the ‘19s hit and he’s ready to deal.

I found the exact truck I wanted (in a color no longer available), had my guy go fetch it for me and basically paid sticker minus $2k in rebates. It doesn’t matter one bit to me that I might have been able to haggle for days for a better deal. I got exactly the truck I wanted with no hassle.

I am in Colorado and paid $49 out the door for a Crewmax 1794 with TRD Exhaust and Sunroof. I ran my own numbers against theirs and spent three days in back and forth.

It comes down to what is on their lot, what they know they can sell or trade to another dealer, and the stock that is coming down the pipes from the factory.

Maybe hit them with "at that full sticker price I am waiting on the 2019 refresh and shopping other dealers unless you can get me closer to $44 and I can take that truck to make room for your 2019s you have coming in."

    Welcome from Atlanta.

I was emailing with a Dealership in my area just today. Here's part of our email x-chg:

" I found 5 White/Tan limited Tundra's in the Southeast region, I found one that has an MSRP of $49,431 with the zero % financing option I can sell you the vehicle for $46,280 plus taxes, fees and registration. The vehicle comes with the TRD OFF ROAD package."

I feel like i can do a bit better so i'll keep shopping. Lots of Dealers in my greater metro area.

45 out the door. Heated leather, predator steps, bed liner, leveled and tire upgrade that I had to do off site. But dealership bought original tires back. I’m happy. Love looking at everyone’s new trucks.

Last time I tried to get a dealer to change tires they would not give me much for the originals. Asked Discount and they were at about 60% of cost. At that time I had another truck that needed tires soon so I just put the take offs on the other truck. Made a major mistake and bought some Pirelli ATs. Put them on a tire eating F150 which made it even worse.

Mostly looks. The Sport has color matched bumpers, grill surround etc. where the OffRoad is chrome. Shocks are valved a little different for onroad vs offroad use. Offroad comes with skid plates for off roading, although not high-end quality. Sport is only available as a SR5 upgrade, OffRoad can be added to any trim level SR5 and above, so you can get a Limited or 1794 with OffRoad trim. OffRoad typically comes with 18" wheels and higher sidewall for offroad benefits, while Sport has 20" wheels with lower profile tires for onroad benefits. Sport comes with rear sway bar and hood scoop.

Below invoice. I scored "employee pricing". I don't think I'll get it again, but I liked knowing what the actual lowest retail could be.
