    This was my config:
    - carpeted headliner
    - led dome light
    - pop out side windows on struts with sliding internal window & screen & tint
    - color match to truck
    - electric unlock/lock synched to truck remote
    - front sliding window
    - roof rails/tracks

The subtotal came out to $4374 pre-tax with install at my local dealer.

I am also selling my fas-top solo if you're interested.

Fairly certain it will be tied into your factory locks and work with them.

If you have the 360 cameras of want your bed cam to still work, reach out to @GG.Offroad ASAP and get his kit hooked up prior to install of the topper!

Been meaning to ask this a while- which vendor on Alibaba.com did you go with for this? Been considering one for a while & probably will get shipping quote to western WA.

I really like this option versus the $5K for the RSI.

So months later do you have any updates? Also wondering if you have any interior photos of the shell and if you figured out the latching system.

    Looks awesome!

ARE DCU MAX ladies and gentlemen.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol
San Francisco edition, no windows so the crackheads won't get tempted

Had exactly the same DCU camper on my previous ram truck for ten years and loved it. Maybe not the best looking but is very functional with largest side door opening so I can get my supplies for work and tools in without issues

$7500 after lots of shopping around between local camper shell dealers and negotiating the price down 3k

SnugTop Hi-Liner Sport on CM 6.5' bed. Ordered in September, got installed on Friday. Despite the ridiculously long wait I am pretty pleased with it so far. There are a few fit/finish things that could have been done better. Not sure if it's the installer or SnugTop who would be responsible. Have already spent two nights in it and love the sliding windoors and remote lock.

So they hold down the topper by the 4 attachments that hook into the bedrail?

My local ARE dealer sent me some photos of this ARE Z2. This thing looks absolutely fantastic. My truck is a Solar Octane Pro. ARE is coming out with the CX Revo which has sliding windows in it which will be better for the dogs but wont be available until late summer. Not sure what to do but this is the best looking topper that I have seen on 22+ Tundra. I think it is the steeper slant almoat fastback style I am drawn to. What do yall think?

Hard to tell just by eyeballing it between two pics, but the back slant doesn’t look any more aggressive than the Leer. :notsure: The front slant of the window does look more aggressive on the ARE, I think.

I do agree that the solar octane cap looks great on the truck.

Looks great! This is what I would have gotten but they were so far out from having these available and I couldn't wait through winter so I got a Leer which I am very happy with.

This looks great. To those who have purchased an ARE cap in Ice Cap, not Wind Chill Pearl, how are you feeling about the paint match from ARE? I've had better luck in the past with Leer on paint match, but the model I'm looking for is likely not available until later this year, and considering going the ARE route. Any insight would be greatly appreciated on this color. Thanks!

I ended up paying $2847, and another $100 for the install, plus tax.

    This was the original quote.

    180 - $2761.99
Headliner - 0 - there is a promotion on this!
    Slider Front Window - $149.99
    Install - $100.00

I went with A.R.E. first as they were good $500 cheaper for identical spec for their mid-height option, but they just never came through - they didn't have the mold for the model I wanted as of 3/1. So, I switched to LEER and got it in 3.5 weeks.

That's quite a bit cheaper than I had anticipated. I also have been waiting/ wanting to go with A.R.E. but ya, still no midrise and I'm tired of waiting. Thanks for the info!

One more question for ya... Any chance you'd please be willing to take a measurement from the floor of the bed the the top of the cap? Just trying to figure out exactly how much extra headroom the highrise gives you

Just under 44", and I have the rubber bed matt in there. This is the inside the cap measurement, I presume that I what you were asking for.

Have you, or anyone else noticed a lot of rattle with the removable slider front window, when the rear window is down and you're driving? I had on a cap two Tundras ago and it rattled like crazy. Went with conventional slider on my '19, which was quiet, but then I lost the ability to easily clean the windows between cap/cab. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this information. I’m looking at my ‘22 TRD Pro, which has DECKED installed and the OEM tonneau (which has been recalled). I’m trying to figure out how to accommodate larger items, like suitcases, for the occasional road trip.

I originally went with the DECKED because I thought the drawers would be more convenient than the sportsmen boxes I had in the bed to hold fishing equipment, recovery gear, etc. They are really nice, and function well, but I now regret the purchase. Mainly because the DECKED reduces vertical capacity in the bed (to the bottom of the tonneau cover) to about 9”, which isn’t enough for suitcases, boxes, or even groceries.

I need more storage, but I want to keep the functionality of the rear cab window, cameras, etc. I also like keeping the weight down (due to TRD soft rear) and having an incognito look (not wanting to advertise ‘hey here’s a bunch of camping, fishing and overland gear you can try to steal’).

Having looked at a number of toppers and racks, I am gravitating toward getting rid of the DECKED system and just going back to a couple of Plano boxes so I can haul stuff AND people at the same time.

Really love the look of the RSI Smartcap, but I think the weight of that plus the DECKED will be too much for my rear springs and I’ll have to look at upgrading suspension components (and losing the soft ride).
