I'm curious how this has held up. Any leaking, or build quality issues?

    Ended up going with Dobinsons.

    C59-841VR

It has a little bit of rake now with the topper but seems to be settling.

GG_Offroad, is this for the 5.5' or 6.5' bed? Kind of interested in one for my 6.5' bed.

    Thanks.

I believe the kit will fit both. My 5.5ft has plenty of extra length with the wiring that I had to coil up and tuck out of the way. Should be universal.

Sorry, I was talking about the Alibaba shell, not the camera relocation kit. :) My bad.

What is your overall suspension setup? What components and lift size are you running? It looks nice.

Thanks, BTW, is your truck the regular 4x4, or does it have the TRD Off Road package? I know you have the factory TRD 3 inch lift option, but wondering about the other TRD Package(s).

Could not find a picture of a smartcap for a 6.5 bed anywhere online, decided to pull the trigger anyway and very happy with it. Really like that it preserved the digital rear view and bed cameras and imo the two tone looks great. IMG_0596.jpg IMG_0597.jpg

Thank you @Frozen.Tundra ! Can you share even more pics from different angles? Super appreciated that you’re sharing images and your thoughts on the 6.5’ smartcap sport. Looks like they’ve changed the latches to be more cold resistant finally? Have they changed them to open from the inside as well? How is the water resistance? Pics of your interior also greatly appreciated. Thank you so much again!

Pretty happy with my RSI so far. I like it better than the A.R.E's I've had. You can now open them from the inside and the latches have covers over them to help prevent freezing up. I pressure washed mine the other day and didn't find any leaks. It also keeps the dust out much better. IMG_6523.jpg IMG_6522.jpg IMG_6521.jpg

Are you guys able to hear the rear differential whining at around 76+ mph?

I can clearly hear my rear diff whine around that speed, but once I remove the camper shell, the whining rear diff. noise is almost not noticeable.

Anyone got rear diff noise at high speeds while pressing the gas pedal?

Can anyone with an ARE cap confirm if a 37" tire can stand up under the cap? I have a chase rack and will be carrying two 37" spares and thought about adding a cap to conceal my gear for certain situations/trips. Hoping the spare tires would fit under something like this..

Doing the math from Toyota and ARE using the specs they give, for a V Series you get about 44” of total height inside the topper.

    Those all look very sharp.

We had a thread from a commercial truck owner that put a cap on with ladder racks that caused the bed panels to separate.

Do any of you have this issue or have you reinforced the bed to mitigate?

Was hers a one off or a known problem for too much weight from a cap on the bed?

    Thank you.

Measurements from my truck for reference:

36.5" - Entry into camper shell from bed mat to lower lip of window opening

39.5" - Back of bed near cab from rubber floor mat to bottom of lower portion of carpeted headliner of topper

Did you use the spacer puck on the back springs when you installed the Dobinsons or are the springs enough?

Looking to do something similar. When you say factory TRD lift, are you talking about the 3" front and 2" rear lift?

I'm putting on a cap and truck vault, so I'm guessing the 1 inch lift with 0-110 may get me back to factory rake on my TRD Pro (1 inch front lift factory). TIA.

Morning! Looking for someone with a 100XR that could possibly provide the height from top of bed mat (or factory bed) to lower lip of window opening on the rear door? I've had nothing but major issues with my 100XQ Sport and am looking to order a 100XR replacement but need to confirm height of the opening for my son's wheelchair. Thanks!
