Jesus dude, relax, you’ve posted a least a half dozen times on this.

You are on a Tundra message board where the demo on average keeps their vehicles for longer periods of time / miles.

This demo would rather pay a vehicle off, and not continue a cycle of constantly making vehicle payments. So for them, you were already two years closer to having owned the vehicle clear and enjoyed many more miles with no payments.

You have already made it clear that your wife due to her work situation warrants a new vehicle more often. This is not the norm here.

    It’s not rocket surgery.

Got $1500.00 off MSRP before trade-in during these crazy times. New car, lower APR, lower payment, same terms. I can't believe the negative comments over something that is obviously a good deal. I don't get it.

    Wait what? You got fucked?

Like got your dick wet fucked, or took it in the shorts fucked?

Or is there some clown saying you got fucked because you chose to spend your money, that you earned, in a manner you saw fit? If that’s the case that individual can go pound sand.

If you and Mrs. Tilly got a new ride that you like, for terms you found agreeable I call that capitalism working as intended. You exchanged money and a trade item for something you valued more than that money and trade item. Good for you, the fucking Communists can go suck another dick because you did your part as a good capitalist.

As for me I am now without a car payment of any kind. I enjoy that more than having a brand new ride at this moment in time. My trusty 2007 Tundra I’ve owned free and clear since paying it off in 2012. Now my 2015 Chevrolet SS is paid off and has under 50K miles on it. Now I just have to resist throwing a cam and headers at it because I don’t “need” a 500hp 4 door sedan. Even though it would make it even more of a Q ship than it already is.

Later this year I will need to resist the temptation to buy a new Tundra. We’ll see if I can manage.

Same terms? As in you didn’t extend a new loan past the remaining amount left on the 18?

I have a 2017 Lund boat. I’ll have it paid off in 2 years.
I stopped in to the dealer a few months ago and could have bought a boat I want more for a slightly less payment (due to the equity in my boat) and a little better APR. At the end of the day I thought I was going to make a bad financial decision because I was starting over on a loan.
Personally, I don’t think you hit the jackpot at all but like the above poster it’s your cash so spend as you see fit and don’t worry about what other people think.

The comment that you got F’d was overboard. It really is a difference of your personal finance philosophies. One of the best aspects of the Tundra is its longevity/reliability, and is probably the most important thing to most of the forum members here. Many of these people take a lot of pride in paying off their trucks and not having a payment. They might not agree with your approach of getting a new car every three years, starting the payment term over again each time and never owning outright. Hopefully it is well within your financial means, either way it’s your choice.

Because your car was close to paid off. You needed brakes and tires and used that to justify trading in. It’s your money. You don’t have to justify to anyone.

3 years old with 47k miles is probably low average…hardly a ton. Again you don’t have to justify it to anyone but yourself!

Well, bummer not released yet but I do believe we are going to see something that we will all love by the end of it's production run just like we do now with the 3rd gen. I love my 2016 and the simple V8 but I'm not going to drive it into the ground either just for the V8 rumble for the next 15 years. (trying to get thread back onto Tundras...lol).

That would be awesome. I would consider getting another Tundra if that's the case. As it stands now I will probably replace my tundra with a domestic 3/4 ton when the time comes.

I bought my new bass boat and 16' tundra in 18'. The boat was right at 2x the price that I paid for the tundra. And bass rigs are nowhere near wake boats and saltwater rigs. Hell they've got 120k pontoons now.
I may be stupid to some but I have no issues affording the boat payment and it brings me a hell of alot more joy than money sitting in the bank.
Sure I could have bought a used boat for cash but I'd be sinking money in it all the time keeping it up.

My service advisor at Toyota told me this morning I could trade my 2018 with a leaky driver's side cam shaft for the soon to be released electric Tundra. Then the other service advisor said he was holding out for the electric Sequoia.

    That's all I got.
