Local Mr. T got one yesterday. New for $65,000. He's sold about 6 of them in last 6 months.

This would make the decision pretty easy for me if you need a vehicle now. Lariat PowerBoost FX4.

Where'd you see the Lunar Rock for MY22? I'd jump on that. I like the funky colors. I have Inferno currently.

I liked the F150 but the build quality wasn't that great on the one I drove and it seems to be pretty widespread. The one I test drove had a door panel rattle, window kept sliding down, bad exterior panel fitments, exterior damage in places that really couldn't be from transit. The build quality seems to be a consistent thing I see on the new F150s. I loved the one I drove minus the quality issues which I'm sure can be fixed but then what else will need to be?

Dealers play both ends of it. Final price payed comes down to what they take off mrsp and what they give for trade. They are not going to lose money on the deal. They give 110% on trade , but are more then likely giving less off mrsp. As a buyer, need to work both sides of the trade too. These dealers gouging buyers are going to lose on the other side of the chip shortage when they are going to get a flood of trucks to sell. And, if we get one hurricane coming through the gulf shutting down oil wells, gas will be over $4 a gallon and won’t come down after that and truck sales will drop like a rock.

That's why I didn't go with a second F150 after my 2013. (Third, actually; I owned a 2004, which wasn't bad at all.) It never left me stranded, true....but two other Fords have indeed left me stranded, and the '13 had a crapload of 'fit and finish' issues, plus some other moderate issues. I mean, a rear driver's side door not latching in the winter doesn't sound like a huge deal...until you realize I owned a SuperCab, which means the *front* door couldn't close correctly either. They replaced a latch, then said "Well, the whole THING isn't under warranty, so you can pay $600 for the whole assembly...and we can't be sure it'll fix it 100%." (WTF...)

Yes, I'd love more HP/TQ, more features, more payload. Who the hell wouldn't? But *NOT* if it means the increased warranty claims and nickel-n-diming issues F150's tend to have.

If I lived near the dunes, instead of a $50k truck and $30k SXS, I’d just get a Raptor / TRX and be done with it!

Toyota has been pretty consistent about making the TRD Pro exclusive color available to other trims after one year of exclusivity - that said, 2022 may be a whole different game.

I recently found out I get Ford X plan pricing thanks to my employer. Looks like I could get a F150 for invoice minus 0.4% if I'm understanding correctly.

I'm still waiting for the Tundra. :D

Like the GM Supplier Pricing, I've talked to 9 Ford dealers, not one is taking X Plan Pricing.

I'm not surprised. Now is a horrible time to be buying a truck. I'm sitting tight and waiting for the new Tundra. I drive a new 2021 F150 for work optioned pretty much as I would have a personal one. I'm not interested in buying one for myself. There's some things I do like about it, but too many things I don't. It'd already having electrical issues too, so there's that.

ya no offense to the pro guys

but those are way overpriced for basically a limited model with shocks.

Same. I liked it and the idea of the features and offerings but the execution was just subpar. There are only 2 trucks I drove that I would commit to. Tundra and AT4.

But as much as I toy around with impulse buy I'll just wait. Trade value may go down but incentives can only go up, can't go lower than zero right? Waiting gives me a chance to view the Tundra and I though the GM lineup was getting the interior refresh to the tune of the new Tahoe/ Yukon setups. But I keep seeing conflicting info of that refresh being pushed to next MY. I know GM is now making their trucks and suvs without the start/stop, tech pkg, and safety 2 packages due to the chip shortage.

Except a Raptor/TRX has basically a glorified stock suspension and is probably slower than even a base model sxs :D and you can't roll it and take it out the following day

Nope, but it does have 35’s, rear locker, and I think they’re coming with a front winch now too like the power wagons.

I just like the way it looks. IF I got a 21 MY there's a reduced price ($1000 shopping dollars) 4x4 windchill white pearl platinum near me. It's about $2-3k cheaper.

For sure. If I ever move away from Toyota, I'll buy a GM. I had a 2011 Sierra I bought new and other than one warranty repair early on, it was a great truck. I've driven new ones at work as well and they've always been good to me.

if you look at the price of those shocks, the rims and the rigid foglights, you add up very quickly.

Yeah the AT4 was only one I drove that sat right. Interior, although dated to the competition, was solid and had the features I needed. But the drive was great, super quite, powerful 6.2, I liked the handling, great space inside. I like the column shifter because it gives me horizontal front cupholders instead of most that due the vertical.

Pretty steep price considering what little equipment the pro badge adds to the truck compared to what my Sub $45,000 SR5 TRD Sport has.

Also white is the slowest color
