Yeah that far right one is always blank in the ones that I have seen... it just bugs me.

True, and since you can't get air ride with the locker as far as I can tell, I'm not sure what the last switch would be for.

I'm not saying these are upfitter switches, but has anybody heard that mentioned? Or was that the point of building the light bar into the grill?

The light bar switch is to the left of the steering wheel.

I posted the towing and payload a few pages back. Maybe you missed it. I’ll add it again and hopefully it will help clarify all the payload talk for everyone.

I was curious so I checked the manual. Nothing there either.

Better not look at the lower left switch panel, seems to have quite a few blanks no matter the trim

I would like to agree with you but I think the problems with the supply chain are a lot bigger than the acknowledged current issues. This isn't just a supply chain issue but rather an inflation issue mixed with supply chain and social issues all at once. This is the beginning of a prefect storm.

Pretty sure it’s a switch to deploy the front tow hooks.

Nope. Machine guns. It deploys them bond-style. Wait till you find the switch for the ejector seat and missiles!

That was one of my concerns. To sit here and think that my Tundra couldn't properly handle more weight than a Sienna is just crazy, but at the same time the manufacturer surely knows how to compute these numbers way more then me...

Up is machine guns down is ejector — or do I have that reversed?

I think you are thinking about this in 2 dimension.
I believe it is actually, up for missile, down for lead slingers, and twist for ejection seat.

One of the Easter Egg's that Sweers was mentioning is the push/pull function. Push gives you subversive capabilities, Bond style of course, while Pull gives you hovercraft abilities.

It is the furthest switch from the driver so maybe that was the issue with using it...

Don't forget about "ski mode" to help you get out of tight situations.

I'm looking at the limited crewmax 4x4, 6.5' bed, non-hybrid. What do you think payload would be?

It does appear the SR5 will have single automatic climate control at least as an option

My buddy was ticketed for towing a backhoe with his F250. If I remember correctly he was also cited for not having the proper CDL too.

That looks odd to me, if that is the SR5, does it have the same shifter as the Pro? I thought the Pro was the only one with the red stripe down the middle of the shifter (to match the steering wheel). I didn't pay much attention to the SR5 videos though.

    Eventual Tundra
I've been following this thread for months, and read it from the beginning. This is my first post, so I figured I'd start with the obligatory "what I think about the new Tundra".

I like it. I like the exterior, though I could pick some nits. I like the interior. I like the grille, as long as there's no chrome involved. Even the ones that look more like a brushed metal than shiny chrome can look good with the right paint color.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of full-time AWD. I was really hoping for that. No, I don't particularly need it, but I like it. Most everything else on my wish list is there. I'm a little disappointed we didn't get the mythical 500 hp hybrid system, but the numbers they've given us don't look too shabby, especially if that torque translates to decent acceleration. My guess is that the addition of a sport drive mode (another thing on my wish list) means that it will. I don't care about the payload and towing numbers. What they've got is more than enough for anything I'll ever do with it, along with most other people who drive a half-ton. I'm happy they kept the back window. I like the pano moonroof. Little sad they got rid of the V8, but I've known for a while that was going so it's not that big a deal. I really wanted ventilated seats, and they came through there.

So far my favorite is the Pro. I'll have to wait and see full details on features, options, and price to decide if the Pro offers enough the other trims don't to justify however much more it'll cost. I'm pretty disappointed the Platinum seems to not offer the TRD Offroad package, because that would probably be my second choice. I'm interested in the adaptive variable suspension, but I need more details on it. I hope it doesn't end up being the 1794 that's the only trim that'll have everything I want, since I'm not into the whole western theme.

I'm not a 'truck guy' like some of the people here. I've only owned one, a Frontier I had from '03 to '14, and I loved it. I don't need a truck to DO WORK, but I like the ride height, the interior space, and having the capability to occasionally throw something big in it and drive places most cars can't go.

But these numbers are without any additional vehicle options right? That could explain why the limited says 1742 lb on the list above but the actual door sticker said 1450 lb in the video.
