I would be willing to bet that if you get Toyota's service software, you can modify that there. I mean, we won't know until it is out on the market of course, but there are numerous things that can be modified that wouldn't otherwise be available.

I still think it needs to be the other way around, it should be an opt-in type thing where if you want it to do it you press the button to engage it.

So they took switches that were in logical places before (e.g. instrument panel lights) and moved them all by your knee behind the steering wheel.

I'm sure the aftermarket will come up with something as they did for the big 3's trucks.

Blame the EPA. If it's not standard on all vehicles, it doesn't count towards your CAFE numbers.

What state, and was the ticket for being overloaded or operating a commercial vehicle without a license?

Maybe pre-production but we’ll find out later. The Limited TRD Offroad at the press event and in videos has a standard steering wheel and shift knob. Only the red push start button.

It seems like the sr5 TRD sport and TRD pro are the only two trims with no chrome at all. Seems like Toyota loves chrome or is it just me.. 1794 TRD off-road has chrome grill surround, chrome handles, chrome window trim, chrome tailpipe, chrome tailgate handle and rear bumper lots of chrome!!!!

The BFGs aren’t helping you out any, that’s for sure. They are a great all around tire but if I lived in a place that had more snow than normal, a different tire would be selected. My last set of tires on my Tundra were BFG KO2s and it reminded me why I hand not purchased them in 13+ years for snow duty. That being said, the BFG KO2s had no problem for the most part, but I would select a different tire. Then again, my Tundra did well in the snow with the “nannies” on in 4wd.

Are you in 2wd when having problems “keeping up” or 4wd?

These Michelin LTX AT2 are not a great tire for the snow, but I have no issues stopping or accelerating in the snow with a 400+HP/800tq diesel truck.

Part of the same package another member has posted here. Vehicle order guide. And for guys saying that doesn’t include sunroof etc in the same guide is clearly states that the pano roof is a STANDARD feature on limited and above in Canada. I’m just trying to help everyone with info. If you don’t believe it that’s your choice.

We’ve got it on our minivan (and I had it on the Ridgeline) — you forget it is there… until it shuts the the engine off :) then you say “ugh damn this thing” and disable it

I've never personally drove a vehicle with the start/stop. Is it really that inconvenient?? Like do people not like it just cause they don't want to like it or does it just not work well or what? Just curious cause if it doesn't do anything to significantly disrupt the driving experience then why all the hate?

    It’s dogshit

shuts down motor, ac goes down, then when you put gas on it’s not really all that smooth . Plus that’s tons of wear starting and stopping all the time.

    It’s just a shit “feature”

Was looking for a graphic someone posted here that looked like a flow chart of what features were on which models ... or did I slip into a parallel universe temporarily?

This may have already been discussed but does anyone know if they will do away with the engine shutting off upon opening the door after remote start? Not sure if it’s a security thing or what but it sure is annoying!

You say ton of wear but is there really any proof of that? The starters are over built to handle it. I could definitely see it being annoying if your in constant stop and go traffic all the time. And the ac going off.

I was always told that the majority of engine wear occurs on startup.

I wonder if companies have the oil pump still going on these auto start/stop systems.

I hate them, driven many vehicles with it, I always disable it if I can.

My least favorite feature in a car by a long margin! I rent minivans a lot and it literally can drive me insane the damn thing never just takes off directly from a stop, ever! Add to that the need to disable it every time you start the car and yeah for me unlivable.
