Looks like they solved my issue anyway . I have my toyota winter rims/ tires btw and as mentioned- did not have this issue with the summers.

They balanced all 4 tires and so far so good

I’m currently at the dealership. Shop foreman telling me the vibration, in his opinion, is road vibration. I felt the shuddering while sitting in the passenger seat and he kept saying it’s road vibration. The foreman then told me he will test drive a new model off the floor and if it does the same thing, that’s just how the vehicle operates. I’m calling an attorney today and will see if the media is interested in a new story about Toyota.

In texas, as long as the claim is filed before 36k mile warranty and the issue posses a safety risk and/or the value of the vehicle is significantly affected by the problem there is grounds for lemon law. We since disabled the lane departure warning as it can be mistaken for the vibration warning felt on the steering wheel. This vehicle now posses a safety hazard to the operator and the general public on the roadways. I’m still waiting for a call back from corporate but based on other people’s feedback, Toyota will bank on the “normal vibration operation”.

What is his definition of "road vibration"?

I guess he’s referring to imperfections in the road being transmitted all the way to the steering wheel, seat and gas pedal.

Then a change in the road should change the vibration or even eliminate it on smooth pavement.

Did the vibration change with different road surfaces?

The vibration issue was masked by certain parts of the roadway that was rough. It was more obvious on smooth surfaces. It seems like the vibration issue is not consistent with the level of severity. Some days the vibration feels intense and some days it’s not as bad or barely noticeable.

Sounds like a bad tire or wheel bearing to me...maybe a sticky brake caliper...there are certain roads that cause vibration and noise in the smoothest cars...sections of 95 in MD and VA come to mind just my 2 cents worth

At the dealership again. Shop foreman will not proceed and stated they drove another unit which drives the same. They will close it. An attorney will have a conference call with me later today.

I've got the same issue. It is exacerbated by towing a trailer. I can't tell if it is speed related or gear related, but I feel it start around 55mph and shifting to 8th gear. The shimmy starts around 55mph and continues through 70mph. I feel it going up a gradual hill and not as bad on the backside of the hill, but still noticeable. It is present both before and after a rotate/balance, so I’m leaning away from bad tire or balance issue. I've taken it to the dealer and of course they can't replicate with out a load (trailer). I'm an hour and a half from the dealer (there are closer, but they are shady and not good) and haven’t had the opportunity to drag my trailer over for them to drive it. They weren’t interested in using one of the owners trailers while I was there.
Does towing make anyones more noticeable?

Nope. Tech told me it’s just a characteristic of the vehicle. Toyota is aware but haven’t Informed consumers of any solutions.

Sounds about right lol, mine really isn't that bad and I only can notice at 74-76 mph. Feels exactly like described. a faint rhythmic revving sound/feel. one second on, one second off. I'll get used it it lol
Side note, my father in laws 2023 Platinium does it as well. (I have wondered if it could have something to do with the spoiler thing on the front)

Just to confirm you and I arent crazy, I have the same issue that you described, the exact way that you described it. I thought it was potentially the artificial engine noise but I confirmed that mine is set to off already. Starting to think it could be drivetrain related.

Why don’t you just sell it? An attorney can’t make it go away. Just go buy something else that puts a smile on you face. Life’s too short to just be angry about everything

@Hella Krusty lol, it doesnt make me angry. I love the truck, it's just interesting. I was curious who all else has noticed. My guess is most people have it but some notice more than others. I still have a smile when I drive it :)

I was going to ask my Service Advisor about this too (3rd on my list being key FOB and whine from diff), but we didn't get that far on my list. The rear diff is by far the biggest issue. Still waiting for parts. This is like when someone mentioned seeing a lot of Teslas on a certain road near my office. Never noticed before, but now I do. LOL :monocle:

I have the sequoia and tundra both limited 4x4. I feel it in The tundra but not as bad as The sequoia. Wanted to trade or sell it but I’ll be hella upside down.

A fts will take my sequoia today to check out the issue. While I was at the dealership, a tech took me for a test drive in a capstone with 5 miles on it and That thing was vibrating worse than mine. I was completely shocked. It seems like some vehicles have it more severe than others. My tundra is almost unnoticeable with the same vibration. Hopefully Toyota is working on a fix. Ive just never had issue with any of my prior Toyotas going back to 1970 model.

I too had this problem a couple months ago but all had all these alerts appear on the truck when braking . Such as pre collision sensor malfunction and ABS. Got the rear diff replaced under warranty and some it went away . However it was still there. Dealer did 3 alignments and got a bit better then roadforce balance wheels and tires and still felt it . Toyota then replaced my tires twice and got a bit better . However still felt it took it back and got roadforce again and was told two of the tires could not balance out . Which Toyota then replaced as well under warranty . These were aftermarket 35s. Vibration went a way a lot but was still faintly there. Weirdly enough despite wheels and tires being brand new I wanted a different look and went for different aftermarket wheels but same tires . The dealer also did an updated alignment spec on my 23 TRD Pro and now all vibration is gone .

My friend’s 2023 and my 2024 Tundras both have this. We equate it to a harmonic frequency in the powertrain… perhaps a natural frequency of everything spinning that is reach at that magic speed and engine rpm.

Still waiting on a reply from corporate to give a diagnosis. I’m driving it today and for the first time I feel the vibration on deceleration. It seems like it’s just going to get worse. All the dealers ever did for me was balance the wheels. They never attempted to align, replace any parts or do any extensive testing. I had some told me they lemon his capstone because it was severe.
