finally found an image of the oem one on toyotas parts site, no part # though
interestingly enough i would have never thought they would have had 4 retainers to hold the top of it in along with the 2 screws at the bottom

 

Which marker lights would y'all suggest getting?

 

If you're okay with a little DIY mounting then go for the ebay/alibaba ones. They look oem, bright and I'm personally happy with then.

If you're looking for something more plug and play then Raveoffroad, but there are known issues with moisture leaking in with rain. However seems like they're addressing it and some have had no issues. I'm just not a fan of the black plastic housing.

Like mentioned above. Alibaba lights if you're ok making your own mounts..just bent abs plastic. Rave if you want to silicone them shut to avoid water intrusion. Although they claim to be water proof, I don't like seeing condensation inside, so I'd take that into consideration.

That's our girl lol. Marker lights shipped to Seattle was $48. Took only about 10 days to arrive. Definitely worth the investment.

Just installed my rave off-road markers. These will do till oem or some better comes out. If I’m not mistaken these markers run with the drls ?

 

Anyone have an extra set of amber grill lights they would like to sell?

 

Kimberly for the win and no need to complicate things. Just borrowed the wife’s hot glue gun. Now to find time to do the actual install.

I finally received in Kimberly's lights. Grr...can't decide between putting these on or keeping Rave Offroad's lights on...hmm

 

If u want overall brightness, stick with the Rave lights. If you want oem look with a lil dimmer output, go with Kimberlys

 

I connected up Kimberly's and it was pretty bright too but I didn't have it next to Rave's to compare brightness

Still trying to figure out how all the knock off producers made their lights non-compatible with the OEM grill- screw locations, etc

 

To not violate a patent? Saw a listing for the grille and the TOYOTA section was removable

 

I don’t think they thought about marketing them to be used with the OEM grill.

Just a PSA...I found that my LED ground had 7v going to it when my alibaba markers were on. Not sure if one of them is wired backwards or if I have an internal short somewhere but figured I'd pass this along. A quick check with your voltmeter might be worth your time. One probe to ground, another to the ground wire from the LED harness. I unplugged them for now and will remove them this weekend to troubleshoot.

 

After going back and forth between Rave and Kimberly's, I think I like the look of the amber lens more...now to figure out how to install. I might take the route like another member earlier in this thread and use a bunch of hot glue gun lol

I used JB weld for plastic. Doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere
