Have you looked at Southern OffRoad? They've been around for over 20 years. I've not done anything with them since around 2005,but they were helpful back then. For an off-road shop to be open that long in Georgia, I'd say they are pretty reasonable. Worth a shot?

Can you post a picture of your truck if you don't mind? I'm trying to get ideas for a wheel/tire combo.

Hi. I was curious what the solution was on the sway bar being exposed this way? I also have the TRD Lift kit installed and the sway bar drop bracket. Is it as simple as removing the drop bracket and the sway bar can then tuck under the skid plate? Any suspension issues doing this with existing end links and suspension travel? Thanks for your time.

For me the thought logic was if I can save 2k on the labor and it only included the 1 year warranty since installed after vehicle purchase. The cost savings could literally just pay for another lift kit if something were to happen or replace the part outright. I personally would rather save money if you aren't getting the 3year from factory warranty.

My total Installed & alignment with the TRD kit was around 3.2K including taxes.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Plus that 2k could go towards wheels/ tires which i couldn't afford for months without that savings. Did you install the kit yourself? If so how long did it take?

Do you know for sure if you still get the 1 yr warranty on parts even if you install yourself?

It's interesting. The sheet shows values for heights that are not acceptable. I also don't understand the point of those.

PCS is disabled so why calibrate it for that height?

If you are measuring from the top of your shark fin then its going to be very close. The TRD lift added 3.5" to my front & 2" to the rear. I measured from center of cap to bottom of fenders prior to install vs after.

The 35x12.5x20 or 285x65x20 will add another 2" vs your stock 265x60x20. I had my TRD lift installed on 1794 for reference.

@Magnetic1: to take @Bailey1794’s thought to completion, you’ll net a 1” increase in height from the tires alone.

Well my issues aren't totally gone. I put smaller tires to be within toyotas allowable spec and brought it back to the dealer because they said they would turn on PCS no problem if I got a size that is compatible. Well, they can't turn on PCS. They said when they switch from restricted to normal in techstream it's not working. Looking further into this, 2018-2021 models had to have the millimeter wave radar sensor replaced to enable PCS if it was ever disabled. I'm told that the newer gen doesn't have to be replaced. They tried all day and it wouldn't work. They swapped a sensor with a tundra on the lot and it worked but couldn't recalibrate because I guess it's tied to the other ecu. They're trying to get a mmwave sensor ordered but they're all backorder. Sounds like we have a path forward but man, don't let them disable PCS.

That's a weird situation. Seems like it's better to do the lift first then tires, or to have them go with tire specs closest to your size but within that range that still allows PCS. I had my lift done today, will post more about it tomorrow.

I wonder if the radar system still works fine without adjusting for tire size but just adjusted for the lift then upping tire size another inch later on?...

Sounds like you may need to get an aftermarket steel bumper (they allow you to tilt the sensor downwards) or 3D print a bracket that allows to to point downward

I had the OEM lift kit installed last year on my 2022 Limited crewmax TRD off-road 6.5 ft bed Tundra, with a LEER topper. I liked everything about the lift but the leveling part. 3" in front and 2" in back levels the truck which is probably fine for an unloaded truck, especially a short box one. But with hunting and boating if I put anything heavy in the bed or tow my boat the truck sags in the back and then my headlights are pointed up in the oncoming traffic, etc. Last year I had the bed fully loaded and pulling a trailer elk hunting and the sagging in the back was really bad. So I found a solution. My dealer installed 3" rear coil spring spacers from ICON (sku: 51016), $161.46 for both spacers.
That result is great and gave me a nice additional lift in the back and now I have some rake. Put anything heavy in the truck now or pull a trailer and the truck is level instead of sagging.
In my opinion the OEM lift and level kit is okay for an unloaded "play" truck, but not for a truck (with a topper) used with weight in the back and/or towing.

That seems like a nice option. Just had my lift done and was bummed to hear they had to disconnect the auto leveling headlight sensor on my plat and manually adjusted the headlights. Driving it home last night it seemed the headlights were already pretty high with the lift. I also occasionally load the truck and tow so was thinking if I should look into heavier rear springs or air bags for towing the toy hauler.

I do love the look being perfectly level though. Do you have any side view pics of your ride showing the new rake?

IMG_0678.jpg IMG_0679.jpg IMG_0681.jpg Hoody, Here are some photos. Of course it is all a matter of preference, but I like the raked look better. No brainer that rake is better than sag. Unfortunately, with a half ton truck you just can’t load it up and expect it not to sag and that is where the OEM lift and level kit is really flawed, unless you just drive around with an empty bed.

They figured it out yesterday. They told me when they shut off PCS that it turned off the radar and camera. This was pretty annoying because I talked about both systems when I dropped off the car. They were trying to get pcs on but turned on only the radar. When they turned on the camera as well it worked. I noticed my LTA isn't working as well as it used to (the lines don't turn blue anymore) but everything else is back to normal. I think upping tire size later on is fine. Lots of people doing 2-3 inch front lifts without calibration and we're not seeing many complaints here.

TRD lift on my 23 platinum with 6.5 bed. I love the leveled look and it doesn't look or feel like too much of a lift. Trucks should come this height standard. Next goal is some 18" methods with 34-35" KO2's...after a few months of saving OT.

I was bummed to find out they had to disconnect the auto leveling headlights and did a manual adjustment. They removed the lever from the sensor but I still have it. 20231222_162507.jpg
Does anyone know if I can just hook the lever back up and get my auto leveling headlights back with the lift or did they maybe turn it off in the ecm also?

Let us know what you find out about the auto level... one thought though is the hardware might not be long enough now at full extension with the lift.

Removal is mentioned in step 37 onwards of the installation manual. No ecu changes are required, looks like the sensor screw gets moved to the lowest setting and locked in.

What tires are in the pic? The oem 265/60r20? Doesn't look bad at all as is either lol. Maybe I'm trying to convince myself I don't need 35s but i was thinking the additional clearance between the tires and hardware by having smaller tires can be a good thing if your tires get caked in mud or snow...

I just might have to try it out someday when I get time. I'm not sure how to even test if they are auto leveling other than marking the level on my garage door when loaded and unloaded, but that would involve finding material or something to sag the ass end. In the instructions they put an included metal bracket that I assume puts the sensor at full rotation which disables the function.

Yes my tires are still the stock 265/60R20. I was also surprised they didn't look "too" dinky as well. I actually like the plat wheels with my mgm color since they match but I also prefer more tire than wheel and heard of too many rubbing issues with oem wheel offset. I think 18's are perfect with either 295/70r18 (34.3") or 35/12.5r18 (34.5"). After seeing @BaileyJP8 setup in MGM and CM w/6.5 bed I wanna be just like him. My goal is method 701's with some KO2's... but that's another $3k so I'll be dreaming for a bit unless I find some used 34"ish x20's to throw on till I win the lottery.

Going to the dealer is asking for trouble unless you have a good place. But thats not the norm. My local dealer is not worth the trip. regarding the 3 inch OEM lift. It’s a good complete setup but 1 year warranty. And dealers have no idea what to do. They charge 22 hrs of install time. Might as well go to a shop that is experienced in off-road. you will get the same warranty and cost you less.
I thought that I read that warranty work does not have to be done solely at the Toyota dealer but at a licensed shop of our choice? That was on the Toyota website. I have to look that up again and call them. I hate going to my dealer but I have a great shop near me that has been doing work for years.

My dealer charged $1500 to do the lift kit. I paid it so they would make all the electronic adjustments and do an alignment. One thing to check is quotes from other dealers. I wouldn't expect to pay more than $1500 unless the dealer hasn't done the upgrade before. In which case, if you're the first, you might be able to get a discount. Good luck! I will say I'm loving the 3" kit with the (nearly) 35" (285/60R20) tires. I did have rub on the sway bar, but had a Toyota specialty off road shop (Adventure Motors https://adventuremotorsusa.com) install SpiderTrax spacers (https://www.spidertrax.com/2022-Up-Toyota-Tundra-Wheel-Spacers?sc=2&category=29920) and it solved the problem. In full disclosure, they did trim a very small amount from the interior side of the mud flap.

Is this the 5.5 short bed or the 6.5 long bed? I'm looking at getting the short bed and ride a 450 to sit at an angle like this when the tailgate is closed. Currently in a Tacoma SB but I'll be hopefully getting a 23 or 24 tundra in the next few months. Loving how this looks with the bike in the back.

He's got the 6.5 bed. If you haul your bike often you'll definitely appreciate the extra foot.

Thanks! I was also starting to lean into a blueprint color but after seeing yours and @boomtime 's platinum's in MGM with the lift....I may have been swayed.

haha, yup. That's my typical setup. I also use a moto gate soft tailgate for peace of mind. Looks like you also stuck with MGM from the tacoma to the tundra. It's just such a good color.

The only other color I was considering was army green but I already wear green too often it would be a little too much. MGM is a great color but I think all the colors look good on the tundra.

MGM Taco with softopper, 2nd choice army green, odg clothes? Starting to feel like Julius and Vincent.

I'll 2nd the MGM color though it's my favorite. Not too light or dark, not a look at me color, goes well with black accessories, not quite as dirty as black, simple classy sexy.
