You just need to tap into a switched ignition circuit. You can buy an "add a fuse" at the parts store and use one of the switched fuses under the hood in one of the fuse/power distribution centers on either side of the engine bay. The turn signal you can tap directly to the wire going to the bulb- accessible under the fender liner

So you tapped into the flashers, but for the others you just run on all the time and not with the headlights?

Correct, the OEM DRL feature is different for this generation, on the older trucks the DRL's were essentially the amber parking lights, but now they are combined with the headlights and the fog lights. I turned mine off because I don't want to drive around with my headlights and fog lights on all the time. These run all the time and are bright enough for DRL but also have a nice added light for night driving as well.

I just had the front of my '24 SR5 apart installing screen behind the grille. Those "vents" actually serve no practical cooling purpose whatsoever. The turbo intercoolers get air only from the main grille. The area behind those side vents is blocked off. The only issue I see with replacing them with the aftermarket driving lights is reduced airflow to the engine air intakes.

    See below:

Seems my headlights have the sequential turn signal, and are built in to the headlamp. I don't see what wire i tap into for the these to work with the flashers. Do you happen to know what wire? I have no separate turn signal bulb. Mine looks like this. upload_2024-2-15_3-21-16.png

It took me awhile to find, but it looks like that connector is a CAN Bus connector. The signal plugs are internally cased in the headlight- see below It looks like you may have to run a wires to the turn signal switch under the column and tap in there.

Thank You for this information, i was able to find the turn signal wire and tapped into it. The low beam i'm not too worried about, but the blinkers work now. Thank You

Did that on my 2.5 gen, also screened off the vent holes under cowl to rodent proof. Would be interested to see your pics after install!

When I was looking at the information the LH and RH connectors are the same and the same pin positions. It's the same information except the header changes from Headlight Assembly LH to Headlight Assembly RH

Looks OEM !! Seems like gutter-guard I used from Lowes (metal) but think they have plastic as well.

    edit: did you use zip-ties?

I guess if I could find out where wiring connector B is that would solve my low beam issue, still haven't found that one. Unless someone on here knows. Thank You again

I put a star on the second pic because it states that connectors B & C are inside the headlight assembly. That means you would have to disassemble the headlight to access those connectors. However, I did see somewhere else that the headlight switch assembly at the column would have the non CAN bus signal wires for all of the lights. Turn signals, parking lights, DRL, high and low beam

Thanks! Drawing on my old (30+years ago!) auto body training and experience lol.

    I used this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097XJWC7W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Black aluminum mesh. It comes in different patters and sizes.
Years ago I used that gutter guard stuff for the same thing.

No, I molded the edges of the mesh and screwed it to the inside of the grille assembly using short self-tapping screws. Just had to be sure not to screw in a spot where the screw would show on the outside. The mesh is also sandwiched between the grille and the active shutters assembly so it's held in there pretty good.

The top of the mesh is just to the top of the Toyota emblem. 16 inches. The very top row of openings has no mesh. Also the other side you can see the edge of the mesh but not noticeable unless you're right up close.

Looks good, trying to get mine wired now. What did you use to tap the turn signal wire?

I tapped the actual turn signal wire on the headlight plug. Don't remember which one now but located it after MUCH testing.

Premium Headlight here, I was able to locate the A53 connector, and was wondering which wire did you use for the turn signal?

Thank you all for your help. I am closer to getting this right. I have a 2023 Tundra Hybrid. It has sequential turn signals built into the headlight. I think with all the information here and a degree in electronics I will be able to wire up my fang lights I bought from Tundra Lifestyle. Thre are so,e many different configurations out there. Between models and trim levels this isn't easy.

Thanks again. I got the fang lights wired up. Bright white with ignition ON. Sequential amber turn signals. Now for dimming the white when headlights are on. Up there in post #36 there is a picture of the wiring diagram for A53 connector. A53-3 is the headlight ON signal. According to the chart it is 0V when the headlights are on. I need 12V wto activate the dimming. I am going to install a relay and use the N.C. comtact for the white wire. I am ordering the Accle Mini Relay from Crutchfiel. It only draws 35mA, so I don't think it will burn out the headlight signal.

    sCaryCary,
I hope this finds you!!! By chance can you please upload a picture of how you tapped into power and low beam? Possibly even the relay…you kind of lost me at what N.C. meant and all the voltage and mA talk, LOL. I’m an aircraft mechanic and not the electrical savvy kind, hahahaha.

I am also a premium headlight owner….could you share where you placed your white and red wires please? Any additional information would be much appreciated too. I am at the point where I only know where to shove the yellow wire, LOL!

I just left the white alone, did not use it. Red goes to fuse box with fuse tap adapter that came with the light.
I found got most of my info from this video on youtube.

Thank you so much for the quick reply! Yeah that vid is very helpful. So I should choose a fuse that isn’t constant and only goes on with ignition? Mine didn’t come with a fuse tap adapter Do your lights not dim while using them as DRLs then?
