Feel better now? Good I am glad…but off roading isn’t the only metric for determining whether one needs a SUV or a 1/2 ton.

Trying hard to find a little bigger but so far it seems like these are what I'm leaning towards more than anything else. Reading real good reviews, including from you of course.

Really like the look of the Ridge Grappler as well. But I ain't going offroad anytime soon and admittedly want it for the looks more than anything! That and the fact that they have a 34" that is also much lighter than the rest. Been reading enough about the sub par performance in the wet weather though and its pretty discouraging :(

Not sure if people are just not driving in the rain like they should or if the tires are really that bad. I've seen my share of people slipping and sliding of steep wet boat ramps and sure don't wanna be "that guy"...lol

Anyway, thanks again for the advice Breathing Borla

Nitto Ridge Grappler 116Ts would be great to run, I believe.

They didn't offer them when I bought my Toyo Open Country ATs or else, I would probably have given them a try. The Toyo Open Countries are great. They do not throw rocks or sling mud or gravel. They dig but get traction on almost any surface including mud, snow, sand, and gravel. Their only weakness is wet traction in rain as they tend to slip but they look awesome. They are superior to the BF Goodwrench KO2s all day.

those are still 52 lbs and your only gaining an 1" and 77lbs load capacity over the AT3 4S.

but I know tires are subjective like crazy , lol

plus, they have NO warranty, lol.

The coopers have 65K mile warranty and are severe weather rated and weigh 44lbs, 8 lbs is a lot per corner

Yes but them like the LTX look like passenger car tires on a truck they do not look like truck tires. The wife's Timberline runs Bridgestone REVOs and they are meaty treaded low load tires and give the appearance of an aggressive off road tire. She has been returning 23-24 mpgs and the Explorer Timberline is a serious off road ute.

yes, if you care more about looks than all of the other stuff above then yes, I guess.

They don't look like car tires though, they are better than that, but yes the nittos "look" more aggressive

That's a lot of trade off for looks only though, no warranty, no severe weather rating, heavier, louder, etc.

but its good to discuss to give everyone options.

I'm considering these tires but going 275/65/20 - not sure how much of a difference the 65 will make? Thoughts?

Depends upon driving habits, I have gotten as high as 18 and as low as 14. It averages 16.5-17.5 which isn’t bad really, but it is a hybrid and non hybrids would probably be less.

My TSS package came with 285/55/20 KOs.

The Goodyear doesn't seem to have a mileage warranty, but with the DT certificates for coverage, they are covered as below.

I just pulled the trigger on these tires - $750 for the set brand on eBay from Discount Tires Direct. You can use a coupon right now that will give you the discount. I got $173 off with the coupon!! Couldn't pass it up!

I think you mentioned this perhaps in another thread, but is your suspension stock setup? I’m looking at the same size, but may go with the Road+Trail from Cooper since they discontinued the 4S.

I don't think they are discontinued, they are still on Coopers website and you can order them right from discount tire?

Thanks. Dealer confirmed for me that the 4S has been replaced by the Road+Trail, but might see if I can snag a close out. Appreciate the info you posted and pics.
