3rd Gen Accessory Thread

Timing is everything... At least I figured out their ball mounts were twice (three times?) the price of the RAM mounts before I included a couple with my order.

 

Does an exhaust upgrade count as an accessory? Installed the new Magnaflow Overland Series exhaust on the Tundra last night and I think it sounds really nice. Subtle, but there when you want it. Need to go for a long drive so I can update you all on the highway speed drones.

Did you have the dynamic air dam to contend with? If so where did you move the actuator so that you don’t get an error code?

 

How long did you wait and where did you buy it?

Get tuff skinz over tvd, they look 100% better since they are 3d domed vs just a plain sticker

 

I realize that it's simply personal preference to get domed letters over flat decals made from vinyl film, but you should also take in to consideration that from 10 feet away can you really tell if they are domed or flat. Also, TVD provides a no questions asked lifetime warranty on all of their decals (Tuffskinz warranty is only one year), not to mention they cost much less than the Tuffskins equivalent.

 

i've used tvd on our 2016 tacoma and our 2018 tundra.

still holding up great on our 2018 tundra, but cant say for the 2016 since we traded up to the tundra.

i was really lucky on our 2016 tacoma to get into the last buy of the discontinued toyota logo turn signal vinyls.

 

Anyone been checking out Westcott’s upcoming stuff?

• Fog light brackets to accept BD and Heretic (I think) lights
• Recovery points on the front (albeit mounted to the cross bar)
• Side exit exhaust (would def need to do something about those mount bolts)
• King 3.0 shocks with finned reservoirs and camburg UCA

 

Pretty safe to say the majority of people in here are glued to what Westcott is doing! LOL (me included)

PTS30-34000 the consolidated part # for the bed step that includes everything to install? (step, bracket, bolts)

 

Spoke with westcott regarding this suspension setup. Sounds like they basically just made some tweaks to an LC200 setup and changed the stroke length for the front. Interesting.

 

Just installed the truxedo elevate ts rails with cleats. The rest should come this week. Fingers crossed! Not exactly how I thought it would install, but I made it work. Just enough clearance for the Bak flip mx4 to latch. Roof top tent is coming soon!

I just stumbled upon your post. Have you sold the Black Running Boards? I have the silver ones that came on my limited and would like the black ones instead.

 

Just received the elevate rack from real truck. Had to shim the ts rails with provided “raked”rubber gasket roll. Seems very solid.

 

Installed the X4S bed cover, got a great deal from @SantanaRealtruck! Great cover that fits perfect and looks great!

… but that looks like the mounting bracket only. Not the complete assembly. As the same part number without the ‘bk’ at the end looks like the whole assembly. $150 for the bracket. $325 for the complete assembly.

 

PTS3034000BK and PTS3034000ST are the 2 parts to make the bed step or PTS3034000 as complete bed step.

My local dealer has PTS3034000 as $260 once I selected it and then the dealer on toyota.com

I went with another Undercover Elite one piece cover. I hope your new cover works out well. According to all the dealers I talked to about covers, and my experience with Toyota’s tri-fold), they all leak. Please let us know if you have any leak issues. If none, I’m sure plenty of those will be sold. Nice cover.
