i set these to 2.75 and had some rubbing and wanted to go up more. Tried every way to crank them while on the vehicle. No chance of it happening and I’m pretty mechanically inclined. Just have to pull them back out and use the spring compressor. Not the end of the world but kings are definitely easier to adjust on the vehicle. To your point on ride quality… these are absurdly smooth. I’ve had a few nice trucks with king, icon, etc. This is the best hands down for a daily. I haven’t gotten it off-road yet but I’m sure she will do great.
What ride height are you looking for in the front?

Ideally, I’d like to get back to a 3/2 setup, which I was running before I added all of my weight. Now, I’m down to about 2/1 with my current suspension setup.

Since I have so much weight in bumpers, armor, winch, bed cap, racks, etc…it makes setting ride height more of an art form than the typical “set it at X distance to get Y ride height” Thankfully, I’m pretty well done adding weight (except maybe some sliders if I keep dinging these steps), so once I get them set then I should be good for awhile.

Side note: And, I realized why you can’t adjust on vehicle. Dobinsons is a fully threaded aluminum body. With spring compression, it would be too easy to booger up the aluminum threads.

I’ve been running the dobinsons for a week now and the ride only gets better . The springs broke in some Ave I absolutely love this kit . My spring compressor broke when I did the preload collar lift so I just had to manhandle it in lol

    Few more

the spanner wrench with dobinsons vs the king pin method is much easier with the kings after having both.

great tip on the top nut! The main problem I had is getting and spanner wrenches in there with enough working space. I may give it another go with this method and see but will probably just end up pulling them out to adjust.

I have a question for you suspension experts in this thread, thanks in advance for your thoughts. I have the 3” TRD lift kit on my ‘22 Limited.

I replaced the rear springs with OME2866 Coils (Pair) (240-300 Progressive). I expected there’d be a spring spacer I could remove when I swapped to the OME, but there wasn’t, and my rear is about 2” higher than front right now. I like it when towing trailer (everything becomes even), but otherwise not a fan of the rake.

I don’t want to go back to the TRD limited rear spring and am considering raising the front by swapping to the TRD Pro front Fox coilover which I believe is adjustable (my current coilover is not).

I think the coilover pair costs a bit less than 1k. Is there another adjustable coilover I should be considering instead that will let me up-adjust the front, and also give me a superior ride? Or, if the Fox TRD Pro coilover is great, I can definitely go with that. Thank you!

Last question- is it worth upgrading the TRD lift kit rear shocks to the TRD Pro rear shocks? In retrospect, while I really like the UCA and other TRD lift kit parts, they really cheaped out on the quality of coilover and rear shocks (and didn’t even upgrade the rear spring).

I installed Dobinson 2/1 in July. I notice today that I have a squeak in the front driver's side. I can hear the squeak when I am turning or moving the steer wheel back and forth. Any thoughts are appreciated.

TRD Pro Fox are not adjustable. Tey are set to give you about 1" of lift in the front only.
The rear shocks from a PRO are shorther then the TRD kit shocks. They will not work that well with your 2" of lift in the rear.
There is plenty of adjustable front coils but is not cheap.. Kings, Dobinsons and so on.

I installed a 1" spacer in the back and a set of air bags for towing.

Try to have someone turn that wheel and go under to see if you can pin point the noise.

Anyone knows hwo much difference is between the stock lower knuckle attachment and the one that comes with the TRD kit ?
Toyota mechanic is telling me that, is pushing the wheel from the bottom out and it is making the alignment much easier to do. You don't have to puhs the lower arm out from the cams that much to get the camber adjustment right. He stronlgy suggest that if you install a 2" lift kit or more.
Now, I ask him if I don't need the extended axle as well now that you push the entire assembly out ??
    He said No.
Just curious what the other people here think ?

Can i install TRD Pro Fox take offs, on a TRD Sport (Black CV axels). Should add about 1.6 to 2.1 inches to the front.

    will this cause any issues??

i wont be doing any off roading at all.
I dont want to spend money on the red axel if i really dont NEED them.

Should be fine, I had the sport axles with a 2.5" lift before changing to the red axles and never had issues. Enjoy the better ride!

I didn't do the fox's off the pro but I did put on the bilsteins from the trd off road and a 1" spacer from cornfed. May end up going back with a 1/2" spacer. . Either way, not a problem so far and don't expect it to be.20240206_170117.jpg

Can someone give me a “worth it” or “not worth it” when it comes to the Dr KDSS BOTCK? I have a 6” lift with 37’s.

To give you a straight answer,, yes is worth it
I have about 2" of lift in the back and I used the bottom hole. Is the closest to have the bar as parallel to the ground
I tried the top hole and was giving me a reverse angle.
Frankly if you plan a 6" lift ,, I would definitively consider a bar that you can adjust as needed

I already have the 6” lift. Does anyone make an adjustable for that lift size?

Adjustable pan hard bar is not specifically for a 6" lift, Will work on any lift
I would contact Dobinsons or Icon .. Seems to be the most popular here
    They will guide you

I’ve never seen an adjustable trac bar that wasn’t designed for a specific lift height. Icon is only one I can find and it’s only designed for 0” - 2” lift.

Yes its worth it to reduce or eliminate bump steer. If necessary an adjustable bar can be used to align your rear axle but its not going to reduce the increase in angle from the 6" lift that much compared to the BOTCK. Install your bar in the top hole and then check your axle alignment. If the axle is not aligned to your liking you can purchase an adjustable bar to fine tune.

Have a question that I could not find the answer to by searching the thread or Google.

I have a 2024 limited crew cab SB with the TRD off-road package.

I just received my C4 hybrid bumper (Weighs about 174lbs (mid height w/gussets))

    https://c4fabrication.com/collections/tundra/products/tundra-hybrid-series-front-bumper-3rd-gen-2022

Wanted to know if the Toyota OEM 3 lift (ptccy-34000) could handle the weight of the bumper?

If not can I use the Dobinsons front coil springs (C59-840 - 3.0" lift with 110-220LBS added weight) instead of the coils that come with the Toyota OEM 3 lift to handle the weight?

TRD kit not rated for aftermarket steel bumpers. You can run it but you’ll lose an inch. You gotta get a Dobinsons kit with springs rated for the extra weight.. Prob can’t run the springs on the puny 2” TRD front shocks. As the Dobinsons are 2.5”

Troubleshooting almost 1" lower both rear and front (passenger side lean) with a dobinsons IMS 3/2 kit. Drivers COA has about 1/4" more threads showing compared to the L. I've seen some people saying the KDSS panhard bar correction kit can "pull" the drivers side down. Maybe I installed my rear springs installed incorrectly and they are not seated all the way down? Could be a combination of rear springs not seated and need a few more turns on COA. Thanks guys. @KroppDuster thoughts?IMG_9762.jpg IMG_9764.jpg IMG_9765.png

Did you buy the fronts assembled or assembled them yourself?

    And what’s a COA?

Coil over assembly. I put them together myself. Just made a few turns on front driver side COA and got the front leveled out from side to side but still 1/2" lower on driver rear compared to pass rear which tells me its the trac bar or rear spring not seated appropriately.

When I assembled my fronts, I counted 6-7 threads showing. Measured it a million times per the manufacturers specs for spacing
