Yep, CPR increased a lot lately. It's not too bad for .22 but, oh boy, if you wanna get something like 7.62x39 or even good 5.56, it gets pretty rough
Did anyone ever order from Gritrsports? Seems like they have some TULA 7.69x39 ammo https://gritrsports.com/shooting/ammunition/rifle-ammo/7-62x39-ammo/ in stock(and it's like 20 min ride for me to pick it up, not too bad). I'm pretty desperate for 7.62 at this point...

There's a lot of options right at 40c with free shipping on ammoseek, maybe one of these is up your alley?

Without getting political, is everyone just F’d trying to find cheap steel 7.62x39?

I used to get Silver Bear for about $.23 each - looks like cheapest stuff is lacquered and double that?

    Try Bud's... https://www.budsgunshop.com/

For the most part they are a hub and just have the MFR drop ship directly to you, but their prices are generally very competitive. Normally, their specials will have you pay for them; sometimes there will be a possible delay notice of up to 90 days (due to demand), but if you order as soon as the special comes out you usually will have your order in under 30 days.

An example of recent email offer was for Blazer FMJ (1000 rounds $260 w/free shipping)....

    Good Luck

I used ammoseek and found 1k rounds of 9mm (FMJ, non-hollow pt) for $180 + shipping.

Not too bad if shipping was reasonable. Brass case?

There was a while there where Winchester white box was sub .17 per round.

Lgs tried to sell me on 22LR at about .07 per round yesterday. I miss the days of .03 for decent stuff.

Hard to find inexpensive shipping on ammo :(

    So .27 per round.

Probably a decent deal by today's standards.

The deciding factor on my choice to buy 9mm pistols was the cost of practice ammo.

    A good factor to consider.

I prefer .38 but the target practice gets costly. Forget about using .357 lol I need a raise before that happens

FWIW Academy around my area in Houston has been selling 50-round boxes of 9mm for $15. Brass. I think it’s the Winchester white box or maybe blazer.

I'm likely gonna be taking a close look at a sig p365 soon so I was looking for cheap target ammo at Cabela's (have one close by) and they carry Herter's. Looks like they bought the name and have different manufacturers make it for them. If it's Winchester, it's good. If it's from overseas it's hit or miss on quality. And there's no way to know who made it until you open it (according to what i read).
Ammoseek has patriot defense 1000 Rd for $200. Is that a decent brand, or similar situation to Herter's?
I'm not up to speed on ammo.

I was planning to get HP for carry, but I wanna put a metric shit ton of practice rounds through it to get familiar with it. I want it committed to muscle memory before I carry it. I just don't want to put a 1000+ rounds of iffy ammo through it. Anyone use the Patriot Defense stuff?

Does anyone know of a source for .17 WSM ammunition besides GunBroker, where you can pay about $1.00 or more per round?

Purchased a new Browning X-Bolt rifle almost two months ago and wanted to try to exclusively shoot Browning factory ammo through it but, that is looking like a dream more than a reality right now. Anyone know where I can find me some Browning 6.8 Western Long Range Pro Hunter ammo!?!?

I found a box of Winchester ammo @ my local Cabela's on Black Friday that I have on standby...
