Thanks for posting this... the dealer said it could be a month and I mentioned that sounds good I heard people from last year still didn't have them and he just laughed..

Man, im glad I don't buy new vehicles often.... the BS of them is so High for something so expensive.

Sounds like the dealer is likely lying to your face as usual just to get you to go away (he probably laughed because he knows its true). In a month they will tell you it will be another month (its rare you can trust what a dealer tells you because they are typically clueless). The dealer told me should be about a month or May at the very latest and I bought my truck March 8-ish 2023 and still no second fob, but as ryanwgregg posted this is very likely the actual timeline and I wouldn't be surprised if those push out a little further. Is what it is, just trying to be careful with my one fob and I'll get the second one when I get it.....which as it stands today should be 4th quarter this year!(till it's 1st quarter next year of course)

When we bought our new 2011 Camry and working everything out with the finance guy at the dealer they had maybe ten or so extra cost packages available for purchase at extra cost.
Typically I don’t purchase any of this stuff, but they offered a very reasonably priced package that included lost or damaged fob replacement. When talking with my sales guy at time of purchase he said to come back in a month or so and claim a lost fob, then do it again sometime in the future so that I could take advantage of and recoup the extra cost. That way I could have several extra fobs.

Not yet, so I bought an extra from my dealer so we can travel stress free around the country. Got some crap from someone on this forum for complaining about getting only one fob.

I guess my complaint is I was able to buy one immediately but not able to get one after spending 65k for my truck.

Look, back in the day we could get extra keys for almost nothing. Today these fob keys are expensive and not easy to get . I was in the Air Force for 26 years and a backup is is always a good idea.

    Lots of stuff!
I think Black Widow is trying to add a bit of humour to the situation.

It doesn’t make sense that they can’t give you a second fob at purchase but can sell you one right away! seems that some priorities are mixed up!

I will check back in August to see if it is accurate in my case. If not, maybe we can stop quoting it.

I questioned my dealer at purchase in April. Contacted Toyota engagement twice told late summer both times. Found information here would be 4th quarter this year. Let me be honest they offered to sell me one. This is frustrating. If sells slow up or production wondering if we’ll get them any earlier. I don’t think so whatever is selling will get the chips or key fob. Just my two cents.

This is my 4th Tundra. Had a 2000, 2006, 2012 and now the 2023 hybrid. They have come a long way in refinements since I purchased 12 years ago. Super happy( except for all the damn chrome on my 1794) never have been a fan of chrome)

I bought my ‘23 in December and still haven’t gotten my second set of keys.

I’m wondering if others have gotten theirs.

I didn't see anyone being nasty...but just a polite suggestion. Always give the benefit of the doubt. Hard to see ones expressions behind a keyboard.
