I know this is a super stupid question, but what battery tray does the Tundra factory come with? I know I will need a new seat if I go 31, but will 27 fit without a new seat?

The tray fits a 27 perfectly.

They have come with both options. Some came with the 24F and shorter tray and some came with the 27F and longer tray.

Ah, I was not aware that they actually had 2 separate trays. Seems in inefficient to me.

Do you know what size battery your truck came with? Also could be a difference of having the towing package or not.

    Mine is a 27F.
Truck is '21 CM TSS package. At least don't have worry about the tray now, not going for 31F at this point.

Sorry @Tundra234 , do you or anyone know where to get a 31F battery tray?
Am thinking to go all-in and just get it done while I am waiting on the SDHQ battery terminal billet....

But the page says it fits the 2nd gen from 07-13, do you know if it fit the 2021?

I need to order the SDHQ terminals as well since I have to replace the positive terminal anyway. They are only recommended for sealed batteries, but I think it will be fine as long as the battery doesn't leak.

Me and my co-worker (Taco) are both eyeing that X2 31M from Batteries Plus, he's got his tray for 31 already whereas mine is a 27F tray, not sure if it will make that much of a difference tray size-wise.

Maybe, or just slap the trickle charger on it when not driving.
I might be getting a beater for daily driving to work, and push the beast on weekends and long trips.

I was looking at the AGM batteries until the dealer told me if would void the warranty. I don't know if he said that because it is a deep cycle? :notsure:

I was looking at those too.....half the cost of the SDHQ terminals.

I am seriously doubting the "void warranty" part unless they are referring to the mod that must be done to get the voltage up to par for AGM, which then I guess would void it.
But to hell with it, I got SP9100 and voiding possibly any and all warranty, not gonna be very concerned as far as that part.....
But if I do get it all lined up (tray, battery, terminal), I might just use trickle charge until I can figure out a sure-fire safe way to get the voltage mod going.

Those are the GPAudio. They are around $60 and Amazon carries them.

Someone on here had a very nice distribution block setup. I don't remember who it was.

Not bad. I just think 2 leads and a distribution block would clean up nicer than several leads coming from the battery.

I am just more concerned about the material and the connectivity....AGM should not worry about leak or spill, but regular batteries are prone to leak, no matter what.

I thought the same. I worked these in when I installed the ARB compressor. Tucked the positive block under the tank and the negative on the ground screw.

I'm wondering if this is what I need. I'm running power leads for 2 light bars (the BDS8 in the bulge, the 20 inch in the bumper), 3W liners window module, train horn compressor, and 4 guage for stereo. I dont know if the 4 guage will connect to this fuse block though.
