2016 Platinum blacked out with Firestone air lift, Toyota Boss shocks, Nitto 295/60/20's. Rides sweet. I have a White 2010 Tundra SR5 with 200k that still runs like a top. This is my 2nd Tundra, after 2 Landcruisers, 3 Lexus's, and several ran over 250k with nothing but oil, tire and brake replacements or changes. Toyota all the way.

Did you plastodip your platinum grill or spray paint?

Finally got the stance I've been after! Got rid of the 20's, found some TRD wheels I've always wanted and some Spidertrax spacers. Just wrapped them with some 35x12.5x18 Open Country MT's.

Your truck looks great! I'm curious as to how the ride differs with the 18 inch wheels compared to the 20s it came with. Also, was it hard to find the TRD pro whhels? I really like them.

I don’t really notice a ride difference with th 18” wheels other than maaaaaybe a little softer. The wheels are available at any dealer. It’s the suspension that’s a bitch to find.

18's, in my opinion, ride better than 20's. More rubber + less metal = better ride generally. I had some 275/65/18 Goodyear's on for the past month till I found a good deal on some 35" 18's, and it rode way better than than any wheel/tire combo I've had. These Toyo's some to ride a little better than the Ridge Grapplers I had on the 20's. Found the wheels pretty quick on Facebook marketplace.

Thanks. So do your think the Fox shocks are worth it as an upgrade or would 6112s work basically as well. I am thinking of the platinum pro concept myself but can’t decide on which way to go with shocks. I don’t want it to be a harsh ride as I don’t get off road enough to put up with a bad ride on road.

The Fox shocks are the best upgrade I’ve done so far. The ride on road is just as good as off road. I took me talking to dealers on a regular basis for over a year, but it was still worth it. I personally don’t think there is a better option out there regardless of cost. If you have a dealer in your area with a TRD Pro in stock go take it for a test drive.

Thanks. The wheels are XD Series 'XD778 Moster' 20 x 9 with 35mm offset. Tires are Discoverer AT3 XLT LT275/60-20. I did a lot research as there are a million combinations. I'm not going for an aggressive stance as this is a daily driver, and I don't care for the 'does it come in black' look. A little chrome for me looks nice especially for the Platinum trim that is mostly painted. I'm please with the tire performance. Although the installer used 45 pounds of pressure...I backed it down to 35 pounds and found the adjustment much more to my liking.

Hey Rocman. That looks nice. I'm curious though about the tires and wheels as to how much they stick out from the fenders - do you have a pic? - and what your impressions are on the quality of those wheels. Thanks.
