Great! Making the order this morning. What your taste of poison?
I came across this bearing on rockauto I believe it’s the same exact part# used for Yukon that I’ve seen other members use.

Only know it's currently in California, post on this thread and they will hook you up.
Need to have the bushing in hand already, just a rule I think.

I have the bushing in hand. I work offshore until the 28th and was planning the 29th for the job but I have until the 5th off if the 29th isn’t possible.

Sadly the slap and tickle didn’t make it to my mouth, it was raining the day of the delivery; so not sure if the can blew mid delivery and that’s why it was tossed haphazardly. Or the final toss made it blow and destroy the box.

    Hey all,
I still have my bushing kit with seal that I didn't need. I can put it in the tool kit from French Toasty since we're in the same town to save on shipping. It's 60 bucks (basically a free seal).

It's Erqu Baiju, from Luzhou Laojiao distillery. Cohort on our Shanghai team always brought me mini bottles of this any time he came over. This and some weird apricot and a pear liquor I don't recall the name of, which was very similar to brandy.

It's been years since I had it last. I found four bottles of the three when I was spinning down the office in prep for layoffs, but gave it to a coworker who needed it more than me

But the apricot stuff I couldn't stand, and the pear brandy got old after one sipping shot's worth.

This one has similar flavors to sake IMO. Similar yeasts used for fermentation, but a dry 'mash' that is distilled with steam. Also, the main grain in baijiu is usually sorghum, as compared to rice in sake.

Hope you like it! Careful, 52% alcohol. It's good with spicy chinese food! If you want more, big chinese grocery stores should carry it.

I'm developing symptoms that cause me to consider replacing the needle bearing, however, when I crawled udter the truck to check it out I found waaaay more play on the passenger side. Apparently there's a ball bearing on that side. I need to dig deeper. It's probably a good time to drain/fill the front diff to see if there's any glitter.

I don't recall ever seeing the passenger side bearing repair on this site. Has anybody done this?

Not I, and my driver's side bearing wasn't bad when I changed it out for the bushing. Ended up being my wheel bearings.

I have. It's a pain due to that bearing needing to be driven in the EXACT amount. I don't remember exactly how much though. I know @MrDirtjumper has done it too, so he may have it on his build page.

Play on the passenger side while in 2WD? It looks like to get to the passenger bearing inside the ADD tube, you have to take off the whole ADD tube and remove the ADD shaft (Intermediate Shaft No. 2) to press it on and off.

I haven't taken the shaft out, but I've taken the tube off. The ADD tube isn't too bad to separate, in 2WD, the Clutch Sleeve will be disengaged from Intermediate Shaft No.1 inside the differential. The tube requires E14 sockets and it'll require some tappy tappys to break the FIPG.

Depending on how willing you are to dig into the tube for the bearing, it might be worth it to just get a used ADD tube and risk that bearing and re-use your actuator.

Again, I haven't done every step of this job, but if you remove the tube, it should be easier to see where exactly the bearing needs to be pressed to.

Now that I think about it, I was mistaken. We did the seal, not the bearing. The seal has to be pressed to a certain depth, that 5.5mm in the service manual. But, I've never seen anyone do the bearings like Des showed.

Yeah, I don't see how the bearing can be removed without taking the ADD shaft out. Getting the shaft out of the tube looks like it can be done with a small amount of force, but bearing removal/reinstallation from the shaft will require a press. The shaft should have a lip where the bearing will bottom out, plus grooves for the snap rings. This video seems to do a good job going over it:

Well, I hope that's not what needs to be done, it looks like a colossal PITA! I just drained/filled the front diff (I wanted to install my new Lexus plugs anyway), and there was no glitter or other signs of failure. I'm trying to isolate a high speed "womp womp womp" and tiny vibration. I'll investigate more about how to diagnose any problems/noise resulting from the side to side play I see on the passenger side. I have one wheel bearing left to replace (front driver side), and although it doesn't appear to be time yet, I've ordered the parts so I'll be ready. When my right front wheel bearing went out it was a low speed "womp womp womp" and a significant vibration.
