I use this monster (2 of them). I can dry the whole truck without having to wring it out once. I don't know how it can absorb so much without getting dripping wet. I go over the truck once just fast to absorb most of the water, then go over it again with another dry towel to get rid of any spots that might have been missed. They are only about $11 or so at Walmart.

There are lots of good drying towels out there, and I've tried most of them....different microfibers, waffle weaves.....but the hands down best was the PFM drying towel from Griots Garage. The large one is pricey at around 38.00, but some things are expensive because they're worth it. They do make them in a smaller size, and those can be bought at Pep Boys. A close second were the Twistress and Twist and Shout by the Rag Company

Is that blue on the other side? If so that’s what I use as well. Much better than the meguiars waffle towel. I have one but really need a second for the truck.

Sheet method/pooling rinse leaves less that you have to dry. Adam's H20 Guard and Gloss is my method of drying now. Two microfiber towels...seal and dry at the same time.
