    Def OEM

Did a trip from Seattle to the east coast and back a couple years ago. Almost 9k miles cuz I did it serpentine, tryna hit it all! So I put on new blades as it was Dec/Jan traveling the northern border. I had one brand with a clip that didn’t work well and it came off, twice. After the first time I had the shop that rotated my tires put it on cuz I thought it was a “me” issue. He struggled and cursed it like I did. It came off again later, so I bought a different set. The other one was terrible too, clearing pattern was horrible, left streaks and snow on the windshield. I stopped at a dealership and grabbed Toyota brand, which not only was easiest to use, and low profile, but it was like having a brand new windshield.

Now I know why everyone says go OEM.

I guess I should mention I had Rain X, Trico, and Valeo. Two were on that trip and I replaced them. One was the only one I could find in a pinch, a different time, but since I knew what OEM was like I just put those on again later when I had time to stop at a dealership. I live in Seattle and def deal with rain. No noise, last forever, and I also like the smaller footprint. Some aftermarket ones are big chunky pieces of crappy shiny plastic that look terrible

We've always had good luck with Bosch wiper blades.

Guys, new to the forum and have read thru all of this thread regarding the best wiper blades. My issue is the driver side blade isn't cleaning on the return stroke so I have about a 2" streak in my sightline that remains. I've replaced the wipers several times, but nothing seems to work. I thought the arm itself could be loose (and possibly loosing contact with the windshield on the return) but I checked the bolt and it was tight. I realize the driver side blade is 26" but recently read longer blades may not keep contact with the windshield as well due to the blade's curve not matching, but can only find a handful of 25" blades so I'm assuming that's not it. It's been a few years since I bought the truck, but don't seem to remember this happening with the blades that were on there when I bought it. I'm assuming these were the OEM blades, but cannot say for sure.

Is anyone else having (or had) this same problem? I'd love to hear what you did to solve it. This issue is driving me freakin' nuts!!

That's odd. I wonder if the blade is perpendicular to the window surface?

Interesting thought...but what would cause this to be the case? Nothing (that I know of) has hit the arm hard enough to cause any damage.

    Connectors are pain.....
But I did realize that going silicone does become more quiet.
Longevity is unknown as I just have them on for barely two months.

I just ordered the driver side blade. The increased number of pressure points (if that's true) is appealing. We'll see what happens!!

I just got a new set of Trico Ceramic Silicone Blades for my Tundra.
I also treat my windshield with Aquapel. I do that every 6 months or so.
    No problems or issues.

I ordered a set of Toyota wipers on rockauto. My wife just wanted to be cool and turned on the wipers. With a full windshield of ice. She got an earful. An earful of $60 worth.

Sorry to chime in late guys, but I was searching for wiper blades too, and I noticed something odd, that my wiper blades look oem, but the locking mechanism is nothing like the replacement ones i've seen posted here or on Amazon. They look similar to the pinch tab type, but i guess they aren't ?

I have the bosch icon currently for the past 4 months and the driver side chatter on the return stroke, at the top of the return stroke. I have always use bosch icon on our other vehicles without issues. Not sure why the tundra dont like it.. im going to try the oem next season..
