Got some Camburg UCA's on the way from Wheelers smokin deal. FYI they don't have them on their website you have to call in the order.

 

What was the price before the sale? I was about to order the skid plate.

 

$295 for base model. I got it delivered for $285 a month ago from another vendor.

I finally got a chance to follow this link; it looks like these prices are tied to signing up through Verizon. What I want to do is find one with no contact obligations— transfer a sim we already have from a mini to a new full-size iPad. I’ll keep lookin’!

This is so wrong. It’s to the point, we gotta screen shot deals to keep track. I know it’s not been an easy year for sellers but damn, show some integrity.

 

I screenshot things I’m trying to buy and save it to a different album on my iPhone. That way I can go back and check the price too.

 

Its not about the price. I have the money to buy it just angry they raise the price right before they put it on sale and on principle I don't want it anymore.

 

Just don't give dishonest vendors business. If they are willing to try and cheat you to your face, think about the quality of the crap they are trying to pawn off to you.

Remove the vendor if they are sponsored and post a sticky im the marketplace. Lying should not be tolerated. If they can't squeeze their margin for a sale, be honest and say so. Don try to cheat someone by false advertising

I respect the guy that never had a sale and quotes their best price every day over someone playing games.

 

It’s nothing new. Every year is the same thing. I won’t call out names as I don’t wanna get in trouble but the longer members knows what’s going on

 

If the MODS are protecting liars then there is a bigger problem here. This is a community. Rule #1 should be watching out for that community, not exploiting them.

 

Wonder if the mods will get involved in this. @ColoradoTJ @Squatting Pigeon @csuviper @T-Rex266 :: is a vendor jacking up prices right before Black Friday, and then giving a sale on those inflated prices (bringing them back down to the everyday price) worthy of being a vendor on this site? It's a shame, too, cause RCI was on my shortlist for skid plates if/when I purchased some.

I actually thought it was illegal to do that. Seems like I remember a few cases of similar things making national news when I was younger. Not related to truck parts (I think it was a couple of big name clothing stores or something), but same idea. Shitty business practice of it is happening... certainly would make me move on to someone else.

 

If I were in the scenario of falling for this kind of "sale" and realized it after the fact, I'd feel cheated. If the mods knew and allowed it to happen on the site or allowed their sponsorship then I'd question the integrity of the platform. Hell I had buyers remorse when DD sold their 8" cheaper on veterans day and I missed out on 10%. Bothers me still that I bought it a few days before and there was nothing I could do even when I asked. And DD didn't play this.or any game with prices. I can't wait for my exhaust!

Vendor integrity is a fair conversation to have and I am sure the mods have discussed topics like this before. I look forward to hearing them.out.

 

I know you’re saying “if,” but let’s not jump to conclusions. I’ve only been on this site a few years or so but I’ve never seen anything remotely close to that happening here. Quite the opposite, actually. Two different specific occasions I can remember of the mods stepping in and disciplining vendors in order to protect the members. So, give them the benefit of the doubt & wait & see what happens.

 

Gotta remember these mods have a life too. There not going to sit there cruising vendor websites taking down prices. If someone has screenshots and can provide proof I’m sure they’ll speak to the vendor on behalf of the community. I doubt they’re sitting idle watching members getting screwed in hopes of getting a kickback come Christmas.

That being said.. if there is a computer programmer on here who wants to create one of those price trackers like Amazon has for tundra vendors.. I’m all in!
