time will tell, Im sure its fine, everyone else who had it done says its fixed as well.

no need to be so pessimistic, but I'll report back as I drive more.

mine rarely did it anyways, but hey free new brakes, why not

sorry to hear, my parts came right away and everything was easy. Shows us how things can differ by region and dealer.

    hopefully you get yours soon.

Hell, just order them from here and say fix it, lol.

My truck has squeaked since the day I brought it home. Been to dealership multiple times and they are no help! Are there any aftermarket solutions? Any body say screw the dealer and just fit it themselves?

take the TSB and have them install those parts, if your out of warranty you'll have to pay, but an aftermarket thing costs as well. OEM toyota fix is the way to go IMO

Well, my neighbors are going to have to find a new alarm clock for weekday mornings.

So nice silently backing out of driveway.

Anybody have this issue with the '25s? I noticed now on several cold mornings my brakes SCREAM on my way out of the driveway. I have less than 3k miles on my 2025 Platinum - I think the TSB only applied to 22-24 and would have thought the new ones off the line would have the issue fixed?

Awesome ! Not one peep outta my brakes in 15k miles now, but if they start acting up, going to show this TSB !

Did you get 2 keys? If not that answers your question imo if they fixed anything

I found my solution to this issue shortly after I bought the truck.
    It's not for everyone.

Mine only ever squealed in reverse when cold.
The way my garage is situated, it's actually advantageous for me to back in.
I back into my garage when I get home from work, so I'm pulling out of the garage driving straight.
    No more squeal.

I'll eventually get my free TSB brakes out of my dealer, but for now this works.

Yes actually did get 2 keys

Interesting - my issue is only while braking in reverse as well, again though I'm in a 2025 and the TSB doesn't seem to apply to 25s

Thanks Sudo, I read the TSB, but it doesn't indicate what is actually defective with the brakes that squeal.

    Do you happen to know?

It seems like this problem either occurs from day one, or not at all. Thankfully, my brakes have been silent for 21K miles.

Took my 24 in and they ordered the parts for the brake squeal…but said it was back ordered. It’s been two weeks now and still nothing from the dealer

It would seem that it is due to the choice of materials. It has happening across most TNGA-F platforms.

But it's only a small fraction of those vehicles that are affected. Just like the throttle hesitation problem. There doesn't seem to be a definitive reason for either problem.

My '23 Tundra's brakes have never squealed in 21K miles.

They have shuddered when adaptive cruise tried to melt them, but never squealed.

Zero here unlike my 16 (upgraded pads and rotors fixed it on last gen)
